    Random BSOD - ntoskrnl.exe

I have been getting BSODs randomly ever since I built this PC. I have looked online and checked the dump files and all appear to have something to do with the ntoskrnl.exe file. It looks as though it could be a number of different issues from drivers to RAM to my HDD.

Does anyone know what it could be specifically? I have attached the SF Diagnostic Tool's output zip with all the info.

    Thanks in advance,
    John

    Welcome to SevenForums,

F4 is usually related to storage/hard drive.

Do you have a SSD? Did you update to its latest firmware for it?

Start by testing the hard drive:

Upload a screenshot of your hard disk using crystal disk info:

Run Disk Check on your hard disk for file system errors and bad sectors on it:

Hard drive test both short and long with:

    Also the DOS version of:

You may also go through these:
PS: AVG contributes in BSOD-s, please uninstall it with its removal tool and replace with MSE.

Thank you for the reply and the welcome koolkat77!

I do have a SSD and I just checked and found that there is indeed a firmware update so I will get that to see if it fixes the BSOD problem. I also saw that some other people have issues with this drive (OCZ Agility 3 60GB) so I hope this firmware update helps.

I also have AVG which I'll uninstall and then get MSE. I would have gone with MSE to begin with but I didn't even know about it! You'd think MS would provide it with Windows or at least have some option come up to install it..

After I do all that I'll run Windows for a few days as usual and see if I get another BSOD. If so I'll try those disc scanners, but if not I'll come back and mark this as solved! :)

    Thanks again,
    John
