    You have damage to some rather critical files - which is what may be causing your problems - and the required backups are missing.
    I would suggest running the CheckSUR tool to see if there's also damage to the registry, or damage to other files..


    Please run the CheckSUR tool from http://support.microsoft.com/kb/947821
    (you'll need to look in the details for Method 2)

    Then zip the CheckSUR.log and upload it to your public SkyDrive so I can take a look - post a link in your reply.

    The tool can take anywhere from 5 mins to a couple of hours to run (or 'Install') depending on how much it has to do, and may exit silently - it may appear to freeze for most of that time, but be patient.

    Contrary to some opinions, generally there is little benefit to running SFC more than once (twice is almost always sufficient to trap any recursions).

    Hello energydream2007,

    Noel has asked me to take a look at this for you, so here I am :)

    Please download the attached file, packs.zip, and extract this to the root folder of your primary drive (usually C:\) so that the folders have the structure: C:\Packs\Windows... etc.

    Do you have a Windows 7 DVD? If not, I would like you to create a System Repair Disc:

    System Repair Disc - Create

    You will now need to boot into your disc. After selecting the language, click Repair Computer then click Command Prompt. In this Command Prompt window, type out the following command, double checking it for typos before pressing enter:

    robocopy C:\Packs C:\ /E /IS

    Then reboot your computer.

    Uninstall Software


    1. Click on the Start button and select Control Panel
    2. Click on Programs (in XP, this will be called Programs and Features) then click on Uninstall a program
    3. You will now see a list of your installed software, double click on the following one by one to uninstall them:


      • Anything with NVIDIA in the name
    4. Once you have done this, reboot your computer



    The final step now is to reinstall your drivers. If you know what graphics card you have, please download and install the latest drivers from here:

    i cant see any attached file (think you forgot to up it ). Yes iv the Win7 DVD, ok il uninstall the nvidia drivers - i think its best to use your uninstaller app and some driver cleaner after.
