    Various BSOD on New PC build, is it the memory or something else


    Hi All,

    New PC build. Ran ok for about 4 -weeks then started getting odd BSOD. on startup just after windows logo. Have had a couple of others, one just after login and one while using Excel. I 'think' it's duff or incompatible memory 2x 4Gb DDR3 sticks. have tried tweeking mem timings in BIOS and have recently tried just one stick at a time. but no luck.

    The machine can run for days ok. and then it will just BSOD! gerrrr.
    No damage occures and machine 'Always' re-boots just fine!

    I have upgraded from a lowly G210 Navida card to an GTX650
    Removes and re-install ALL navida drivers and software.

    MOBO has latest Firmware/Bios and driver updates.

    So before I rush out and swap memory.

    Dumps attached. And 'Speccy' text file of system config

    Have tried to run SF Diag tool with no luck. will try again and post if I get it to work

    Any help apreciated

    BHDrvx64.sys = Symantec Heuristics Driver.

    Symantec/Norton seems to be contributing in your BSOD-s and is often a cause of BSOD-s itself. Consider uninstalling it with the Norton Removal Tool and replace with Microsoft Security Essentials at least to test.

    Recommended antivirus program for Windows 7 based on stability compared to others:-


    Do not start the free trial of Malware Bytes; remember to deselect that option when prompted.

    Run a full scan with both (separately) once downloaded, installed and updated.

    Please submit the full report following https://www.sevenforums.com/crashes-d...tructions.html so that we can do a little more than basic checking the dumps.
