No .dmp files in the attachment, however seeing the picture you attached and the rest of your files,
Recommendations:
The antivirus you are currently using is known and contributing to your BSOD crashes, consider uninstalling it with the McAfee Removal Tool and replace with Microsoft Security Essentials at least to test. If we know that McAfee was not causing the blue screens, you may install it again but I would not if it were my PC. PS, I see Microsoft Security Essentials and Malwarebytes already installed and they are by far the best recommended by many on our forum. In case you don't have them installed, get them from the links bellow:Code:
- Start Menu\Programs\McAfee Public:Start Menu\Programs\McAfee Public
- Start Menu\Programs\McAfee Online Backup Public:Start Menu\Programs\McAfee Online Backup Public
Recommended antivirus program for Windows 7 based on stability compared to others:-
- Microsoft Security Essentials - Free Antivirus for Windows
- Malwarebytes - The Free version
- Good and Free system security combination.
Do not start the free trial of Malware Bytes; remember to deselect that option when prompted.
Run a full scan with both (separately) once downloaded, installed and updated.
System Optimisers
Please remove the following software
This software is a known cause of BSOD's. The windows 7 operating system does not require these registry cleaning software. They often tune-down rather than tune-up and can wreck the OS beyond repair. Microsoft have improved Windows 7 significantly and it is much better at organising and optimising itself than its predecessors. Check this, this and this thread for evidence.Code:
- Start Menu\Programs\TuneUp Utilities 2012 Public:Start Menu\Programs\TuneUp Utilities 2012 Public
- Start Menu\Programs\TuneUp Utilities 2012\All functions Public:Start Menu\Programs\TuneUp Utilities 2012\All functions Public
If you feel the need to use a registry cleaning or optimisation software, most of us recommend the use of CCleaner but make sure you back up the registry before making letting ccleaner delete anything.
Uninstall them with the Free version of Revo Uninstaller [ Advanced Mode ]:
Reboot the computer whenever asked to.
----
Get the newer drivers for your video card:
Uninstall and delete older drivers first. Method:Code:Driver c:\windows\system32\drivers\nvlddmkm.sys (8.17.12.5896, 10.50 MB (11,008,040 bytes), 7/10/2010 5:37 AM)
Click on the Start ► Control Panel ► Programs ► Uninstall a program ► Uninstall everything related to; NVIDIA then delete remnants of its drivers/older drivers using Driver Fusion/Sweeper.
Reboot the computer whenever asked to.
Update from Device Manager by expanding the list Display Adapters
Driver Install - Device Manager
Once drivers have been installed reboot.
OR
Install the drivers from this link:
----
Run the System File Checker that scans the of all protected Windows 7 system files and replaces incorrect corrupted, changed/modified, or damaged versions with the correct versions if possible:
Run Disk Check on your hard disk for file system errors and bad sectors on it:
Keep us posted of the results,. Good Luck
thanks i did everything you said. hopefully i don't get anymore errors. i'll keep posting if anything comes up
OK. Did SFC find any errors? What were the results from Disk Check?
Dump Files - Configure Windows to Create on BSOD
SFC said something about C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CBS.log being corrupted and it'll fix it when i reboot so i did and disk check ran well with no errors. PS how do i find the .dmp files so that i can post them
After following the Dump files - configure windows to create on BSOD you'll just have to grab them with the SF Diagnostic Tool again :)
alright i configured windows to create on BSOD and ran the SF Diagnostic Tool again
You'll be seeing the .dmp files only if you have more BSOD-s. So in case you do, grab and upload them here to your next post.
For now, observe the system for any improvement.
