    Hi Guys,

Sorry for my lack of response; I've been away.

The problems with my computer seem to be getting worse .

It has frozen (can't move the mouse, everything stops, have to hold power button to reset) twice in two days whilst I've been using it.

Not sure if it has any relevance, but I didn't have any problems a few weeks ago, since then I have moved house and has to set my rig back up?

Really losing my tether with it all! I just don't know what to do.

    Many thanks,
    Tom

    In response to questions.

Virus - I use MSE, and I run Malwarebyte's every few weeks.

    Please find attached .NFO file.

Quite few of your devices have been disabled or do not have the correct drivers installed:

    Universal Serial Bus (USB) Controller:

    Code:
PCI\VEN_1B6F&DEV_7023&SUBSYS_50071458&REV_01\4&2C8787FC&0&00E7	The drivers for this device are not installed.
The PS/2 Keyboard and Mouse ports did not have the correct drivers or were disabled, if you do not have these ports then it is a generic name given by Device Manager.

Run a full scan with any AV programs you have and with:

Scan for any corrupted or missing protected Windows files with:

    Hi there,

I have disabled & uninstalled both those PS/2's. I also uninstalled the USB controller (which was causing a blue screen after awaking from sleep issue that I posted about in another thread).

I am running MSE, TDSS and Malwarebytes as we speak.

    Cheers,
    Tom

Have you scanned with System File Checker?

I just ran SFC.exe, a command window opened and then closed instantly?

There were some files that were considered dangerous by MSE and Malwarebytes, but I have deleted them all.

My computer just froze 10 minutes ago .

    • Hibernate is disabled.
    • Sleep after: Never.
    • Display Sleep: After 15 mins.

Now following the link from gregrocker.

I am at a loss with all this.

Okay good that those files have been removed, and here is a little information from Microsoft about Event 41:

Read Option 3 and then upload your .CBS file:

Post back the results of each of the troubleshooting steps :)

    Hi there,

I am going to continue with troubleshooting tomorrow, so will post findings in due course.

I am interested to know what the general consensus on this is? - "Driver Genius Professional"

Even though I'm pretty much a novice, I'm convinced it's some sort of driver issue, so could this fix my issues?

Thought I would see what you guys think before I go diving in.

    (Cheers for everything :) )
