    As I was about to mark this thread solved I randomly got a BSOD

    Oddly when I checked the minidump folder no minidump file had been created...I'm pretty confident my system is much better but I'll rerun the driver check as a last precaution. I'll check back in 24 hours.

    Make sure Windows is still configured to save .dmp files:

    You could try placing the 4GB RAM stick in the other slot and see what happens :)

    Whatever configuration you use, make absolutely sure memtest86 does not show any errors. Even when running overnight.

    Ok looks like everything is working fine...no crashes and no failed Mem tests...
