What I presume is a BSOD

    Hey,
I'm a new poster here but I've been looking around for a little bit. It's only happened the past few times and it appears to be a BSOD but it happens really weirdly.

I have uploaded/followed the instructions on reporting a BSOD, I'm not 100% certain that's what is happening but it seems like that is what the problem is.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Cheers

Click on the Start ► Control Panel ► Programs ► Uninstall a program ► Uninstall everything related to; ATI and restart the system. Delete remnants of its drivers/older drivers using Driver Fusion/Sweeper.

Install latest drivers from: AMD Driver Autodetect

One of them come with bugcheck 124, which is a hardware bugcheck. Go throught Stop 0x124 - what it means and what to try step by step and see if it helps resolving the issue.

    Hey,
Thanks for the quick reply. I removed then updated the drivers to my graphics card. I have read through the 0x124 stop thread but haven't seen anything that could be doing it unless it's updating drivers because I can't say I do that too often :P, is there any easy way on knowing what I need to update driver wise or do I need to search them all?
Hopefully, it's fixed but if not. I'll return.

edit: It's still doing the same thing. I launched a game, 5-10 seconds in my computer screen turned into "standby" and my graphics card fan went super fast for a while.

It seems really random that it would be over heating all of a sudden and so quickly, because earlier today I played for over an hour. The next time I try and launch a game, it happens instantly..
