BSOD while playing games

Hi everyone I hope you can help me and if you can't thank you in advance for your time and effort.

So my computer BSOD's every now and then while playing games, really annoying but I just dealt with it.

Recently I got an ssd and decided to upgrade to windows 7 (from xp) with that. It wasn't bad at first but now it crashes within 5 minutes of starting a game (starcraft 2 and league of legends are the two games I play).

I do not believe that it is a heat issue as idle temperature is about 45 celsius and at time of crash the temperature is only at 55 or so.

I have up to date graphics drivers.

Dumps included as attachment. If you need any other information just ask and I will respond as quickly as I can.

Welcome aboard.

► First try to use a different version of display driver.

Download and install Driver Fusion.
Reboot the computer in Advanced Boot Options, safe mode. Search Driver Fusion in your start menu, and remove all components of your nVidia display driver.
Boot normally now. Go to Drivers - Download NVIDIA Drivers, Drivers > Beta and Legacy; search there with your cards particulars for GeForce 306.23 Driver, dated 13.9.2012 and install it.

► Scan the system for possible virus infection.

► Use Microsoft Security Essentials.
[***Uninstall the existing antivirus]
Use Microsoft Security Essentials as your antivirus with windows inbuilt firewall, and free MBAM as the on demand scanner.

Download and install those, and then run full system scans with both of them, one by one.

update the network driver.

First, download the network card driver from manufactuer's website, Realtek
Then reinstall the driver:

Click the Start Button, type "devmgmt.msc" (without quotation marks) in the Start Menu Search box and press Enter.
Double click to expand "Network adaptors".
Right click your network card and click Uninstall.
Check "Delete driver software for this device" check box, click OK.
Restart the computer
If windows does not auto configure the appropriate drivers at startup, install the downloaded one manually.

► Plan for a BIOS update.

But, dont do it without asking for assistance, if you dont know about it. And, if the earlier steps are eough for fixing the issue, you may let it be pending for right now.

Thank you for your reply.
I did the first thing you said and installed 306.23 after using that program to delete the drivers and then managed to play a 25 minute game of starcraft without crashing at all. (last bsod's were all 1-5 minutes into the game before bsod). So it seems to have fixed it for now.
I must go to bed presently but will test for longer tomorrow to ensure that it has fixed it. Because I used to be able to play several games of starcraft before the driver change sometimes or sometimes it would just crash on the first game. (one game is not conclusive evidence is what I am trying to say)

If it still BSOD's tomorrow I will try updating the network driver and then the BIOS update. I seriously doubt that it is a virus problem though because this is a brand new installation of windows 7, however if the problem is still not fixed then I will try those two as well.

Actually, all those elements are having somehow implication on those crashes. And, you should run those virus scans. Those will not hurt ... but will make you sure that there is no threat at all.

Ok so I got home turned on my pc and went to have a shower. When I had come back the computer had BSOD'd I could tell because the "the system has recovered from a serious error" message was on the screen. Soon after the computer BSOD's again while I was just browsing the internet. But now it's stopped randomly BSOD'ing and I ran the scans, found one threat (HackTool.Wpakill) (on C drive, will run scans for other two hard drives over night).

I uninstalled the network driver but there was no option to delete the driver software for this device. just an ok/cancel option.

I have attached the latest grab all thing and am now going to see if the removal of that virus and the reinstall of the network drivers fixed it.

so within 3 minutes of starting my league of legends game my computer BSOD's. But on reboot I managed to play out the rest of the game (20 or so minutes) just fine.
i've attached the dump file for that crash (i think it's right)

I wanna try the BIOS update now but i'm not sure how to do it.

EDIT: So next League game I play. BSOD's twice within 40 minutes. about 10 minutes and 35 minutes into the game.
Crash 1 minute into next game
crash 20 minutes and 30 minutes and 40 minutes into the next game
I play some starcraft crash 15 minutes into the first game
10 minutes into the next one
ill attach the new dumpzip momentarily

As I am seeing, there is stop 0x10E, that is video memory error.

I am to search a bit more, and it is to ask the others in this issue. In between, you search some display driver update via windows update.

Aequitas, Please fill out your system specs as complete as possible. You can do it from the bottom left of your last post, click on My system specs, then edit system specs. Or, at the top of this page click on User CP and in the left column is system specs. To see what we like, click on my system specs in the bottom left of this post to see mine. It is difficult to help if we don't know what hardware you are using. If it is a premade computer please put the manufacturers name and complete model number in and list it as a desktop or laptop.

I only had 1 BSOD because of setting the video settings on Half Life 2 Maxed out before when I was still using Intel GMA 3100 lol
