Frequent BSOD, ntoskrnl.exe, ntkrnlmp.exe
Hello,
since some time I got occasionally BSOD and since this Sunday very frequent.
Background:
Last Sunday I start troubleshoot long time pending issue with my USB 3.0 controller (VIA VL800 chipset) that I had since its installation in Dec 2011 (error Code 10: The device cannot start). I found and installed new driver from VIA (V1.90A_WHQL). There was no success, still the same error.
I also changed SATA mode for my SSD disks from IDE to AHCI, using microsoft procedure and tool from Error message occurs after you change the SATA mode of the boot drive. Since this change USB controller started to work.
Then I wanted to make backup via Windows embedded Backup & Restore tool and got few seconds after starting backup BSOD. Since then many BSODs (looked like when there was some operation with extenal USB disk), some times not possible to boot, because order of bootable disk has been changed in BIOS (I do not understand how it is possible w/o entering into BIOS)
So I removed USB controller completely from PC, including deinstallation of driver (controller was in PC ~11 months), I reverted back AHCI to IDE in BIOS (but did not change back value for HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Servic es\msahci to 3), but problems with frequent BSOD are still there...
I googled and read many forums/advices and finally arrived here.
Can you pls help and give me advice what to do (I want avoid new Win7 install if possible)
