    BSOD before login screen

    Hi guys been reading most the posts on here regards BSOD and i have to be honest ive tried multiple solutions from within the forum, but to no avail i bought my daughter a laptop i dont have a windows 7 disc as windows 7 came already installed..

    However yesterday when she turned laptop off to have her tea and when she went back to use it. we noticed that after the windows logo had appeared the screen stayed black we could move the mouse but that was about it...

    I put the laptop into safemode and checked for viruses malware and trojans, also tried a system restore but that didnt seem to do anything and found nothing suspicious. also did the sfc /scannow no errors reported

    I read that you could get into the Task manager and stop the explore.exe and add a new one and start it again. This however i cannot try as i cant get past the windows logo screen..

    so in a nut shell heres what ive tried and failed at doing..

    1 = Startup repair
    2 = System restore
    3 = (Via Safemode) checking for viruses, malware, trojans.
    4 = (Vie Safemode) updated to latest Graphic Driver
    5 = Tried this >> Windows 7 Black Screen Of Death Fix << did its job but after reboot went back to black screen
    6 = Removed battery and pressed power button for 30 - 60 seconds ( to no avail )

    And now to be honest im out of ideas...

    Hope someone can help...

    If you cannot log on normally, boot into Advanced Boot Options> safe mode with networking. Then follow the Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) Posting Instructions.

    It will provide us the information that we need to suggest you something effective.

    normal boot shows windows logo and then before logon the screen is black. Do you see a cursor in top left? Is it blinking? Or do you only see a mouse pointer and you ca move it?

    Safe mode works without errors?

    That's called a mouse pointer not a cursor!

    What have you done to try to fix it? Don't do things you don't understand!! Only do things if you know what you're doing... or let someone explain what it does.

    Why didn't you save/backup all drivers? Drivers are in recovery partition as well!
    Anyway use this
    LAN DriverBroadcom14.8.0.511.1 MB02/17/2012

    Run the setup.exe in the x86 or x64 folder (depends on which win7 version you installed)
    Afterwards reboot. Network using cable works now? Check windows updates and install all updates.
    No problems in device manager anymore?
