I think you need to follow the guide STOP 0x116: VIDEO_TDR_ERROR troubleshooting too. A video tdr does not cause for a missing service pack only, but it is somehow a graphics related issue.

In short, what you need to do it:

    • Update the display driver to the latest.
    • Make it sure that the graphics card is not in fault.
    • Make it sure that there is no dust accumulated inside the computer.
    • Make it sure that it is not overheating.

Hi Arc , for the graphic card issue :
    - I am now running the nvidia driver which is 306.97 , released on oct 2012 , its the latest one i guess , except for the beta version which newer .
    - the card run fine , i tried 30min with furmark from the link i found in sevenforum , no freeze / bsod issue , the temp. constantly stay at 85'c~90'c .
    - guess that's pretty clean inside my casing , i got cleans regularly .
    - I got runs monitoring software each time while I gaming , about 70'c~80'c all the time .

Please let me know anything else you need to know for determine the exact problem for my pc.

    thanks .

It is very slightly overclocked. What if you put the clocks to normal?

Tell us about your PSU? If it supplying enough power that is required?

The 2nd October version is problematic sometimes.

Hi Arc , the card was never been overclocked , the default core rate is 780mhz . after the bsod/freeze issue , i downclock it to 750mhz , that makes my game run in peace . until recently , the bsod/freeze happened again .

PSU : Cooler Master M850 Modular PSU.
Real Power M850 - Cooler Master

I will reverse my graphic card driver to 306.23 and get back to you .

    Hi Aloner,

I have the exact same issue with rebooting during gameplay. I just upgraded my card to a GTX 660 Ti and the driver version is 306.97 just like yours. Also my dump file is identical to yours. Currently doing more testing to see if its a faulty card, but that doesn't seem to be the case so far. I will roll back the driver as well and see what happens.

    Good luck.

Hello guys , did you update your OS to SP1 too ? I found mine more stable than before , after updated to SP1 .

usually my game won't survive more than 10min if I didnt runs another software to downclock the graphic card clock rate , but last night the game was running perfectly more than 4hrs without the downclock , the bsod/freeze issue is gone .
