    Hi,

Uninstall AVG, replace with Microsoft Security Essentials.

Recommended antivirus program for Windows 7 based on stability compared to others:-

Do not start the free trial of Malware Bytes; remember to deselect that option when prompted.

Run a full scan with both (separately) once downloaded, installed and updated.

Install all updates including Service Pack-1:

Go to this link: Intel® Driver Update Utility and download and install all latest drivers for your system.

Run the System File Checker that scans the of all protected Windows 7 system files and replaces incorrect corrupted, changed/modified, or damaged versions with the correct versions if possible:

    • Click on the
    • Type CMD on Search
    • Left click and Run as Administrator
    • Type SFC /scannow

    Full tutorial here:

Free up the start-up, nothing except the antivirus is usually needed.

Run Disk Check on your hard disk for file system errors and bad sectors on it:

    POst back results

Post it following the Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) Posting Instructions.

The issue is related to display/graphics, so changing the HDD should not help. And we need to see the data as per the above link to go any further.

Install Service pack 1 and all other windows updates. Otherwise the system will remain vulnerable to threats.
    Code:
Windows 7 Kernel Version 7600 MP (2 procs) Free x86 compatible
    Product: WinNt, suite: TerminalServer SingleUserTS
    Built by: 7600.16385.x86fre.win7_rtm.090713-1255
Learn how to install Windows 7 Service Pack 1 (SP1)
Service Pack Center - Microsoft Windows

Intel graphics driver is failing here, and it is too old.
    Code:
    8e004000 8e501000 igdkmd32 T (no symbols)
        Loaded symbol image file: igdkmd32.sys
        Image path: \SystemRoot\system32\DRIVERS\igdkmd32.sys
        Image name: igdkmd32.sys
        Timestamp: Wed May 06 23:43:40 2009 (4A01D354)
        CheckSum: 0048DF97
        ImageSize: 004FD000
        Translations: 0000.04b0 0000.04e4 0409.04b0 0409.04e4
Update the Intel HD Graphics Driver, either from our forum link, Latest Intel HD Graphics Driver for Windows 7, or You may get it from Intel Download Center.
Moreover, you may run the Intel (R) Driver Update Utility to auto detect the appropriate driver for your computer.

Check if the Power Supply Unit (PSU) supplying adequate power to the computer or not.
    eXtreme Power Supply Calculator
At least 30% more is safe.

    Sir,
Thanks for your guidance. I have installed new Intel drivers as per your instruction. Since then I have been using win 7 since one week and there is no problem. I note to download service pack 1 and update periodically
