    %1 is not a valid Win32 application.


    I have windows 7 64 bit and i dled and installed windows debugging tool from here Windows Software Development Kit (SDK) for Windows 8
    i'm aware it's for windows 8 but a thread on this forum directed me to it for windows 7 so.. idk. and i couldn't find w7 versions

    after installed, i tried to open a .dmp file from C:\windows\minidump but i got this error



    did i install the right one? i'm having such a hard time opening these files just to find how why i've been bsoding so much recently ><

    using the debugger isn't really all that easy.
    Just to start from the beginning have you set up the symbol library for it?
    Use the Microsoft Symbol Server to obtain debug symbol files

    It would probably be easier to just upload a couple of dumps here and let someone with it all set up already do it. As you'll also need to know several of the console commands in the debugger to actually get any useful information out of it.


    Also, make sure you are opening a crash dump, and not opening an application with the debugger.

    ohh.. yeah that sounds complicated i'm not that good with programming so i think i'll just upload it for someone to help me =\
