    did you test your system with a antivirus (ESP rescue disk)?

    Will do. still have a problem though. as soon as i hit F2, and the bios shows up in 20 sec the computer shuts down !!!!!

    If the laptop is cleaned and the fan tests good then you might have a problem with the heat sink over the CPU.
    It could also be any one of the removable components being loose (RAM, HDD, Graphics module).

    I do not recommend that people do this kind of repair on a laptop unless they are totally comfortable taking one apart and putting it back together. Otherwise this is a job best left to a repair shop. For small money they can test everything out and reseat the cooler for you with proper thermal compound.

    I can't remember if you reset your BIOS. That should be done before moving forward with a repair.

    Note: virus scans only affect problems on the OS side of the equation. Since your problem exists on the BIOS side there is very little chance it has anything to do with the OS or a virus.
