Many crashes - various signatures (NIR BlueScreenView)

Crashes occur at random times - not tied to any particular program .

Screen goes mostly blank with a few scattered colour pixels and then starts reboot.

Had thought that it might be a PSU issue - so have fitted new more powerful and better quality PSU - no change.

Ran 5 passes of memtest overnight - no errors

sfc /scannow fixed an error on first pass but second pass showed no errors.

PC Currently configured for minidumps - NIR BlueScreenView shows multiple bug check strings / drivers / addresses.

Not used this forum before so if I've got anything wrong with my post then my apologies.

    Welcome to SevenForums.

    Your nfo file is corrupt.

Please upload your msinfo32.nfo file. To get this: Start Menu -> Type msinfo32 into the Search programs and files box -> When it opens, go to File, Save -> Save as msinfo32.nfo and save in a place you will remember -> Let it finish the process of gathering and saving the system info -> Right click the .nfo file, click send to compressed (zipped) folder -> Upload the .zip file here.

Please upload your msinfo32.txt file. To get this: Start Menu -> Type msinfo32 into the Search programs and files box -> When it opens, go to File, Export -> Save as msinfo32.txt and save in a place you will remember -> Let it finish the process of gathering and saving the system info -> Right click the .txt file, click send to compressed (zipped) folder -> Upload the .zip file here.

Well it's still corrupt. Upload the text file.

A number of crashes were caused by Avast! antivirus. I would suggest you to uninstall Avast! as it tends to cause BSOD-s on some systems. Replace with Microsoft Security Essentials to test.

Recommended antivirus program for Windows 7 based on stability compared to others:-

Do not start the free trial of Malware Bytes; remember to deselect that option when prompted.

Run a full scan with both (separately) once downloaded, installed and updated.

Run the System File Checker that scans the of all protected Windows 7 system files and replaces incorrect corrupted, changed/modified, or damaged versions with the correct versions if possible:

    • Click on the
    • Type CMD on Search
    • Left click and Run as Administrator
    • Type SFC /scannow

    Full tutorial here:

Run Disk Check on your hard disk for file system errors and bad sectors on it:

Run these tools and delete anything they may find:

    ESET online scanner:

Update your video card drivers, click on the Start ► Control Panel ► Programs ► Uninstall a program ► Uninstall everything related to; ATI and restart the system. Delete remnants of its drivers/older drivers using Driver Fusion/Sweeper and restart if required. Get latest drivers using: AMD Driver Autodetect
    *Update your network drivers.
    *Update your sound card drivers.

Let us know the results, whether the system is stability or not.

Then test your RAM. Take memtest. Run for 8 passes and test each stick in a know good slot for an additional 6 passes.

The goal is to test all the RAM sticks and all the motherboard slots.

Check your motherboard manual to ensure the RAM sticks are in the recommended motherboard slots. Some motherboards have very specific slots required for the number of RAM sticks installed.

If you get errors, stop the test and continue with the next step.

    1. Remove all but one stick of RAM from your computer (this will be RAM stick #1), and run Memtest86 again, for 7 passes.
Be sure to note the RAM stick, use a piece of tape with a number, and note the motherboard slot.
If this stick passes the test then go to step #3.

    2. If RAM stick #1 has errors, repeat the test with RAM stick #2 in the same motherboard slot.
If RAM stick #2 passes, this indicates that RAM stick #1 may be bad. If you want to be absolutely sure, re-test RAM stick #1 in another known good slot.
If RAM stick #2 has errors, this indicates another possible bad RAM stick, a possible motherboard slot failure or inadequate settings.
    3. Test the next stick of RAM (stick #2) in the next motherboard slot.
If this RAM stick has errors repeat step #2 using a known good stick if possible, or another stick.
If this RAM stick has no errors and both sticks failed in slot#1, test RAM stick #1 in this slot.
    4. If you find a stick that passes the test, test it in all the other motherboard slots.

If Part 2 testing shows errors, and all tests in Part 3 show errors, you will need to test the RAM sticks in another computer and/or test other RAM in your computer to identify the problem.

In this way, you can identify whether it is a bad stick of RAM, a bad motherboard, or incompatibility between the sticks.
Errors are sometimes found after 8 passes.
Do this test overnight, before going to bed.

    Thanks

Red is a couple of questions - bold is what I still need to do.

Any idea why the msinfo might be corrupt ?

How do I upload the text file ?

    What I've done so far......

    Avast removed
    Microsoft security essentials installed
    Malwarebytes installed and ran completely
    sfc /scannow run again
    chkdisk run
    TDSSKiller run
ESET found a couple of issues but crashed again after ESET had fixed
Video card drivers removed and reinstalled
Still to do network and sound
Had run 5 passes of memtest before posting (that was a nights worth)
    Will run again tonight.

Not quite sure what you mean about known good slots as at this point I have had no memory error in any slot

Is the memory slot juggling just something I do IF I do get a memory error ?

Sometimes it happens because of bad memory.
How do I upload the text file ?
    The instruction was given.

Yes, you have to make sure if it's a bad ram or a bad memory slot
Or test the RAM sticks on another computer.

Anyway, this dump didn't provide anything specific.

How is the computer running now, did you take memtest?

Sorry about the msinfo text thing.

In the original post about msinfo I thought the two blocks of text were an accidental duplicate - didn't realise the second was different .

    Will attach shortly

Also - am editing the post with the bold and red as I complete the tasks.

I've been using the night slots to get the eset and malwarebytes runs rather than the memtest. malwarebytes finally completed last night.

    So its memtest tonight.
