    BSOD playing COD BO2 and Hitman Absolution, Driver IRQL Not Less Than


    Just bought a house, was living at in-laws for a few months while we remodeled. Just booted up 2 days ago and I am getting BSOD on intense video games.

    It's odd because this computer was running smooth prior to the move.

    Welcome to SevenForums.

    Probably it's adjusting to the new home.

    Uninstall Intel Rapid Storage. Delete remnants of its drivers/older drivers using Driver Fusion/Sweeper

    Intel Rapid Storage Technology: overtaxes system

    Unplug, re-set your SATA and power cables. Then run Disk Check on your hard disk for file system errors and bad sectors on it:

    Upload a screenshot of your hard disk using CrystalDiskInfo:

    Reinstall the latest drivers for:


    Perform a System File Check:
    • Click on the
    • Type CMD on Search
    • Left click and Run as Administrator
    • Type SFC /scannow
