Laptop SLOW followed by no longer booting with BSOD 0x0000007B
Hey guys
So my Lenovo V570 has been flawless up until this past week where it would not pull out of hibernation and would result in a hibernation .sys file corruption.
No biggie as I would just start it up and not worry about it saving the current state etc.
Well 2 days ago it booted up but took ages followed by everything running like I was on 128mb of ram and a 600GHz chip with the turbo off lol.
I could not do anything without the screen going white/not responding and no pages would not open in Chrome etc so I decided to reboot and it will now refuse to reboot.
It is stuck at the Win 7 "Starting " screen.
I managed to F8 and disallow the reboot when blue screening and I got the dreaded 0x0000007B Inaccessible Boot Device.
So I tried to repair, it tells me it cannot be repaired with both the original disk and the Win 7 repair disk.
Tried the Win 8 repair disk too, which is super slick by the way, and I managed to get into the cmd and ran chkdsk /r...no errors.
Ran bootrec.exe /fixmbr and /fixboot and low and behold the PC booted up but once again ran like frozen water.
I managed to reboob and run Malware Bytes in safe mode and it killed an .exe trojan and rebooted to the desktop but still no dice, slow and choking!
So I reboobed again and once again it will not allow me to, via the disk: repair, reinstall over corrupt files, or upgrade to Win 8 as the Win 8 download hangs at 40%.
You think it is a hooped HD as it is now back to freezing at boot up and the 0x0000007B blue screen?
No way for my to get dump files guys, sorry about that!
