    BSOD at login screen, ndis.sys

Shut down everything last night without a problem, started my computer up this morning and as soon as I get to the login screen, I get a blue screen. I've probably managed to mess something up trying to fix it, but I wasn't sure if anyone would even be around on Christmas to help me with this! I have however given up, so if anyone knows how to fix this, that'd be great.

    Welcome aboard, Xaphon.

It is crashed by the Atheros network adapter driver. (DW1525 (802.11n) WLAN PCIe Card)
    Code:
    fffff880`0339a9a0 fffff880`0755f260Unable to load image \SystemRoot\system32\DRIVERS\athrx.sys, Win32 error 0n2
*** WARNING: Unable to verify timestamp for athrx.sys
*** ERROR: Module load completed but symbols could not be loaded for athrx.sys
     athrx+0x15b260
    And that is very old.
    Code:
    lmvm athrx
    start end module name

Atheros (ATHEROS drivers for Microsoft Windows (Atheros?????)) most probably dont have updates for this driver. Try in Dell's site, using your service tag. Also, try to update the BIOS .... that is of 2009, also.

    Free up the startup.

    1. Click on the Start button
    2. Type “msconfig (without quotes), click the resulting link. It will open the System Configuration window.
    3. Select the “Startup” tab.
    4. Deselect all items other than the antivirus.
    5. Apply > OK
    6. Accept the restart.

    Let us know the results.

Hey, thanks! That seems to have completely fixed it. Is there a way to keep track of these things? Had no idea this was a thing I needed to do, but I'm not all that tech savvy.
