    Hi.

Is the system under its warranty?
    How old is it?
Have you recently made any hardware changes?

Remove the Kaspersky suite for troubleshooting purpose: Removal tool for Kaspersky Lab products
Use MSE: Microsoft Security Essentials - Microsoft Windows

On your other thread I saw that Gregrocker has suggested you to uninstall Tuneup Utility which you haven't.

    System Optimisers

    Please remove the following software;
    Code:
    1. Start Menu\Programs\TuneUp Utilities 2013 Public:Start Menu\Programs\TuneUp Utilities 2013 Public
    2. Start Menu\Programs\TuneUp Utilities 2013\All functions Public:Start Menu\Programs\TuneUp Utilities 2013\All functions Public
This software is a known cause of BSOD's. The windows 7 operating system does not require these registry cleaning software. They often tune-down rather than tune-up and can wreck the OS beyond repair. Microsoft have improved Windows 7 significantly and it is much better at organising and optimising itself than its predecessors. Check this, this and this thread for evidence.

If you feel the need to use a registry cleaning or optimisation software, most of us recommend the use of CCleaner but make sure you back up the registry before making letting ccleaner delete anything.

Please uninstall the following programs as well:
    Code:
    1. Start Menu\Programs\Acronis Public:Start Menu\Programs\Acronis Public
    2. Start Menu\Programs\Acronis\Acronis True Image Home 2011 Public:Start Menu\Programs\Acronis\Acronis True Image Home 2011 Public
    3. Start Menu\Programs\Acronis\Acronis True Image Home 2011\Tools and Utilities Public:Start Menu\Programs\Acronis\Acronis True Image Home 2011\Tools and Utilities Public
    4. Start Menu\Programs\Acronis\Plus Pack for Acronis True Image Home 2011 Public:Start Menu\Programs\Acronis\Plus Pack for Acronis True Image Home 2011 Public
    5. Start Menu\Programs\Paragon Hard Disk Manager™ 12 Server Public:Start Menu\Programs\Paragon Hard Disk Manager™ 12 Server Public
Uninstall them using Revo uninstaller in Advanced Mode. (Clear leftover registry after removal)

    Perform a System File Check:
    • Click on the start
    • Type CMD on Search
    • Left click and Run as Administrator
    • Type SFC /scannow

    Hi Rajdeepak,

If you are experiencing issues with the laptop when put to sleep/hibernation mode, you may try flashing BIOS and updating the 'Video & Chip-set drivers'. You may find the following steps useful (Compatible with Windows 7 64 bit Operating System):

    1. Flash BIOS:
Note: Battery should have 10% or greater charge; Adapter should be connected; No external devices should be connected; All other programs should be closed and documents saved
    - Click
Driver Details | Dell United States
to download the BIOS file and install it as per the on-screen instructions
    - Laptop will restart itself (may produce some beeps); recheck results

    2.
If the issue persists, try installing 'Windows Updates': Ensure that the 'Logitech Mouse' is working with the laptop while you perform the update
    - Click 'Start icon' > Type 'Windows Update' in 'Search programs and files' in the text box > Tap Enter and follow the on-screen instructions to install all updates > Restart the laptop and check results

    3. If the issue still persists, update the 'video and chip-set drivers'
    - Click
Driver Details | Dell United States to download and install the latest 'Chip-set driver'
    - Click
Driver Details | Dell United States to download and install the 'Integrated graphics driver'
    - Click
    AMD Catalyst
to download and install the 'Discreet Video Card' (ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4650 shipped with the system)
Update each driver one by one; allow the laptop to restart if prompted.

    4. If you still experience issues, try to 'Load BIOS defaults' to see if that works:
    - Power off the laptop > Power it back on and at 'Dell splash screen' repeatedly tap 'F2 key' > Tap 'F9' to 'load BIOS defaults' > Tap 'F10' to 'Save and Exit'

    5. If the issue persists, try to run 'hardware diagnostics' to check 'hardware functionality':
    - Power off the laptop > Power it back on; at Dell splash screen repeatedly tap 'F12' > Use 'arrow keys' on the keyboard to highlight 'Diagnostics' and tap 'Enter' > Capture 'error message' if any

    6. If you still experience issues, try to enable/disable the 'hibernation':
Corruption of 'Hiberfil.sys' file may cause issues; use the following link to 're-create hiberfil.sys' to see if that works:
How to disable and re-enable hibernation on a computer that is running Windows

Hope this helps. Do reply if you have any further questions. I would be glad to assist.

I ran dell hardware diagnostics and got targeted read test after which i ran test and repair operation on hdd using seagates sea tools boot disk which found the errors and reported that i has been fix,and now the test passes. After that i have still got the error,Acronis and tune up were installed after i got sleep problem last night after reformat.I think this error might be due to KIS 2013,as i have already tried old version wifi drivers from dell and new ones included but no change dell hardware diagnostics doesn't report any error both at boot time and win environment. Can this be related to hardware malfunction, either way i am going to uninstall kis 2013 and see if it makes any difference.I will also post the requested data in a few hours, thnks a lot.
Also the all the drivers are latest except for catalyst which i thought might be responsible since it was the latest installed, but did't seems the culprit so i will update it and go to see if it can make any diffrence. The bios is latest A15 ,also how can i reflash to make sure bios isn't the problem. This error first surfaced when i upgarde win 7 to win 8 using upgrade advisor but have already formatted it many times trying to resolve it

    Hi Rajdeepak,

Thank you for the quick reply.
Removing KIS 2013 would be worth a shot; updating the discrete video card driver may also impact the 'Sleep resume boot path'.

You have referred to the 'hardware diagnostics' with 'targeted read test' failure; please share the 'diagnostics utility' that you've used. Did you run the 'PC Checkup utility' within the 'Windows environment'? If yes, I recommend you to run the 'on-board diagnostics' as mentioned in my previous post (step 5).

You may also continue with a 'custom test' (advance teat) on the 'SATA drive' to see if that produces any error. Please refer to the following link for detailed information: How to Run the Dell 32-bit Diagnostics Utility | Dell

Hope this helps. Do reply if you have any further questions. I would be glad to assist.

    Thanks Saurabh,
At firstt I ran dell Support center 3.0 hardware diagnostic utility which on hdd targeted read test gave error that it has failes the test then i downloaded the sagates seatools hdd diagnostics from

    download.
I ran the custom test both using in windows and boot time diagnostics utility of dell.
In windows it also found error in short diagnostics and recommend full diagnostics with repair, which i did and it repoted that operation has failed to use it ms dos boot utility to perform the test boot environment which eventually reported a no. of disk errors and repaired them successfully and passed all the test without any problems.

    Hi Rajdeepak,

Thank you for the reply; glad that the 'diagnostic test' passed on the 'hard drive'. Have you removed KIS 2013? Are the 'video drivers' updated now? Please share the current status of the system performance after the files were repaired.

Would also like to confirm if you ran the 'diagnostics' using the 'Seagate utility' that you downloaded; or the 'Dell Diagnostics'. You've also referred to an 'error' in 'shorter version of diagnostics'; please share the error message. If you have run the 'Seagate Diagnostics' only and are still facing issues, i recommend you to try running 'ePSA on-board diagnostic test'.

'Inspiron n5110' has 'ePSA - Enhanced Pre-Boot System Assessment' that you may initiate by using 'F 12 key' and 'Diagnostics' option (As I suggested in my previous post).

Correction: In my previous post, I incorrectly mentioned the 'custom test' format; e-PSA allows you to run 'thorough test' on 'select components', in an 'interactive mode'. To initiate the 'interactive mode', please tap <Esc key> as soon as 'quick diagnostics' initiate (after selecting 'Diagnostics'). Similar screen appears:

Select 'Thorough' and run the test on 'Hard Drive'. Please refer to the list of error codes for e-PSA if needed: ePSA Error Codes | Dell

Do reply with the results; glad to assist.
