Performance. You get Sandforce controllers because they advertise a performance boost over other controllers in certain areas. However, there is a caveat in that how it does so is a process that they still haven't worked the bugs out on. While there's not nearly a failure rate on certain brands like Intel for their Sandforce controller drives as opposed to those of like, say, OCZ, they all still suffer their problems.

If you have already updated your respective firmware and drivers for your SSD, then you'll need to consider replacing it. I do know that firmware updates especially will help immensely, and often times actually resolve all stability issues. Yet if that doesn't work, the drive itself is bad and it's time to discard it.

New BSOD! Attached is only the Dump file, as the other things don't work

Inconclusive. If it is a driver causing the problem (doubtful) then we'll need Driver Verifier on. Have you considered doing anything with the new drive? Have you sent an RMA request?

I don't know what that is

This would be an extreme inconvenience to me as Intel's RMA requires you to contact the store you bought it at. Seeing as I do not live in the same town as this store (Best Buy), I don't know if this is possible.

EDIT: Would this work? I have another laptop with a crucial SSD 64gb. Could I try switching the drives and see if it works normally? Will any settings be messed up or will everything switch over nicely. Both windows 7 OS x64

EDIT2: Some other ideas...I currently have the hard drive that the problematic laptop came with. Is there anyway I could try to reformat and or repartition the intel drive to get it to work properly? I used a thing called EZ GIG cloning software, and a cable that came with it to do this origninally so maybe I made some mistake which causes the drive and or drivers to mess up? Just an idea

I'm not familiar with that cloning software, but replacing the faulting drive with the one that came with the laptop or another SSD should work. If the suspect drive is indeed faulty, no amount of reformatting or repartitioning will work, and a file system corruption problem wouldn't be suspect here because you've pretty much eliminated that with reinstalling Windows and doing the previous disk checks. You'll need to replace the drive to test and see if the other drives are stable and confirm that the suspect drive is at fault.

Alright :/ Thank you for all your help. Ever since one of the previous steps where my Minidump folder became locked, now every time my computer randomly crashes, the minidump folder becomes empty, and nirsoft BlueScreenView shows no previous dump files either...What is going on???!?! Basically my computer will randomly turn off, with no BlueScreen error, and I just don't get it. This never happened before I completed some of the previous steps, so I guess the question I am asking is if something I have done to my computer, based off advice from this thread, could have caused these weird issues? Thanks

Can you provide one more report file? I'll need at least the syslog (system event log) that's copied by the report to get an understanding what you're dealing with. It sounds like you have a bad power supply, in that it's spontaneously turning off your system due to internal failure. That or your CPU's temperature has reached a certain point where your motherboard is turning on a safety and shutting the system off.

I'm not sure what the syslog is, but I think I might have found the problem. In my power options, I was using the power saver mode. In these settings, the hard disk was scheduled to turn off after 5 minutes, on battery or plugged in. I changed my power plan back to High Performance, where the hard disk is set to never turn off. Since then, I have been having less issues, and 0 random restarts in the past day. Computer seems to be working faster as well. Could there be something in the power saver settings that is inhibiting my computer's performance? Thank you.

Hmm, well it sounds that the problem is with the power options for the device, but that doesn't sound like it's a healthy operation. The system really shouldn't be bugging out depending on your power state, which means a device or an associated driver is croaking. I do know that some SSD drives don't take kindly to hybrid sleep states, so perhaps that's somewhat involved. Dunno. I'd still keep vigilant for a while. Make sure all your drivers, BIOS and firmware are updated and watch for any unstable behavior.

What is this?!?!? no crashes since I changed the power options...looks like it wasn't the SSD (directly) after all? But this weird thing comes up whenever I start my comp, its usually filled to the bottom with random text like that.
