Scan the system for possible virus infection.

    Do some disc checks.

    1. Update your SSD's Firmware (skip it, if it is not a SSD)
    2. Re-seat the sata and power.
    3. Run chkdsk /f/r, following the option two of the tutorial Disk Check
    4. Seatool for dos: SeaTools | Seagate download
Burn it in a blank cd. boot from the CD, click on "Accept", wait for it to finish detecting the drives, then in the upper left corner select "Basic Tests", then select "Long Test" and let it run.

    Let us know the results.

Edit: do you have windows installer disc?

I do. However, before that. I tried to run memtest86+ again, and I guess I didn't run it long enough the first time, but it detected 126 errors at pass 3 test 5.

Enough of a test you have done.

If memtest shows errors, it is a bad RAM, and it s to be replaced.
Test now on the individual sticks, in every different slots, to sort out which module is corrupted, and to discriminate between a motherboard issue or a simple RAM failure.

Alright. I'll probably be getting a PC upgrade soon (GPU, CPU, Mobo), so if it IS motherboard related it should be fixed by then.

Run memtest until Pass 8 is done, correct?

As you are getting errors earlier than 7-8 passes, you need not to run it any more. We suggest it to run long, coz sometimes errors appear at a late.

And, if you can point out it as a faulty ram, you need not to change the motherboard. Say you have two DIMM slots and two RAM sticks ....
No code has to be inserted here. It is a RAM, a bad RAM.

But if the situation is like this ....
No code has to be inserted here. It is a motherboard issue. The particular slot is bad.

That is why, you should proceed with memtest now, with each stick only, in all slots, and all slots, with each stick.

This kinda confused me. Am I supposed to run it for 8 passes or longer?
Might take quite a while to test four 4GB sticks.

No. As you have got errors, the RAM is corrupted, for sure. No more test is required.

Now by testing the sticks individually, make it sure that which stick is causing the problem, and replace that one.

I'm not really sure what you mean. First you said:

    But then:

Am I supposed to try to start the system with just one stick at a time?

    Yes.

From this post, it is clear that you are having memory issues, you RAM/RAMs are corrupted. the faulty RAM needs to be replaced. If you test it stick by stick, it will let you know which stick is faulty. Then you can replace that one.

    Anything more?
