Does one CPU have pins on it? Does the CPU socket on your motherboard look like this:

Well, I tried to swap the two CPU but the computer wasn't booting. When I swapped back to my E6600 it told me that the overcloack failed. I guess that's how to let me know that what I was doing was wrong. x)

Is there any other solution? Because I came back to my appartment and I don't have another CPU to test now.

You must have a LGA775 socket, which is a Land Grid Array type CPU socket, and have you stopped overclocking?

0x124 is a hardware-related error, and the hardware will need to be replaced.

So you advice me to replace my CPU? I didn't do any overcloacking.

    Hi,

Well I've installed the new CPU. I have no more BSOD during the pick select (on League of Legends), but after 3/4 hours of activity, the PC crashes again saying the same error code (0x00000124 - WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR).

I did a short test with OCCT and the PC crashed when CPU reached 44°C (which is really low).

    Do you have any idea?
