    Random BSOD while laptop is idle


    Hi,

    I having random BSOD while the laptop is idle. When I check the dmp, it is saying that the cause is ntoskrnl.exe. I've tried running the check disk but it doesnt seem to fix the problem.

    Need help.

    Please upload your msinfo32.nfo file. To get this: Start Menu -> Type msinfo32 into the Search programs and files box -> When it opens, go to File, Save -> Save as msinfo32.nfo and save in a place you will remember -> Let it finish the process of gathering and saving the system info -> Right click the .nfo file, click send to compressed (zipped) folder -> Upload the .zip file here.

    Reinstall the following drivers in this method:
    Click on the Start ► Control Panel ► Programs ► Uninstall a program ► Uninstall everything related to NVIDIA and ATHEROS & reboot the system. Delete remnants of its drivers/older drivers using Driver Fusion/Sweeper.

    Not the best security software. Comodo contributes in BSOD-s.

    Please uninstall them with their removal tool:
    1. avast! Uninstall Utility | Download aswClear for avast! Removal
    2. comodo-uninstall-tool

    You may also use the free version of Revo uninstaller.

    Uninstall using Advanced Mode - to clear leftover registry entries of the program.

    Microsoft Security Essentials.
    Recommended from a strict BSOD perspective, compatibility & stability compared to other antiviruses/internet security software. It is free and lightweight:-
       Warning
    Do not start the free trial of Malware Bytes; remember to deselect that option when prompted.


    Run a full scan with both (separately) once downloaded, installed and updated.

    Perform a System File Check:
    1. Click on the start
    2. Type CMD on Search
    3. Left click and Run as Administrator
    4. Type SFC /scannow

    Disk Check on your hard drive for file system errors and bad sectors on it:

    Reduce items at start-up. Nothing except anti-virus is required:

    Ok, I had the verifier activated for more than a day and I did not get a BSOD, the laptop just slowed down while it is active.

    Ive also uninstalled and reinstalled the Atheros and Nvidia drivers, then uninstalled comodo. I run the scans, including SFC and disk check, and the results did not show any problems. Does this mean that the problem is fixed?

Hi, I have had 3 BSODs, the first about 5 days ago (not sure). Then two yesterday. The laptop was idle at the time. Attached is the log from dm log collector. I did a restore to 7-04-16 but did not help. Comments appreciated. thanks
