Reboot or freeze randomly, tried for 2 month
Hi,
I just got a second hand gaming PC but i'm experiencing some weird problem. So this is the computer :
Amd phenom II X4 635 @ 2900 mhz
Amd 785g
ATI RADEON 5700
4g of ram
1T hard drive
First, when i got the pc, there was no hard drive so i got a new one and installed a clean version of Windows 7 ultimate 64x.
When the installation ended and all the driver was installed I tried to run the windows experience test just for fun but... I got an error like
" cannot complet windows experience video " - Problem number 1
I thought it was weird but I tried to install BF2, after the installation and 5 minutes of gaming, the computer just reboot... So there is where my search for a solution started.
I browse the web and tried almost everything I found. This is the result.
1 - Computer overheats? - Tried speecy (After a random reboot)
- Processor : 19 Celsius
- Motherboard : 34 Celsius
- Video card : 35 Celsius
It's seems like it's not overheating
2 - Up to date driver ? - I installed the latest driver from ATI
3 - Outdated bios? - I updated the bios, i fell like there is less random reboot but it keep happening and it's very frustrating
4 - Ram problem? - Run memtest for hourssss
No problem detected
5 - Even if there were no problem detect, i removed a stick of ram just to try and i never put it back but nothing changed
What’s happen in details:
The computer sometime get freeze for about 1 or 2 minutes for no reason. Example, I’m browsing the web and then I can only move the mouse cursor and I clicking on everything will make no action until it unfreeze and everything get normal.
About the reboot, that's happen even when I don’t try to play. Just chillin' in my windows files and BOOM, reboot.
Since I updated my bios, the computer reboot on the onboard video card (after a random reboot) when it was supposed to boot on the ATI card where my monitor is connected to. So i need to reboot it with the reset button to get it back on the ati video card.
So is there somebody on this forum that can help me to solve this problem? I will do everything you will tell me at the best of my knowledge. I'm not bad in computer in general i have assembled 2 computer in my life and those two keep working today so i can do a lot of manipulation if needed.
Thanks for your help and sorry for this long thread... I'm desperate, I only have 3 hours each week to play and since more than 2 month those 3 hours are spend in looking for a solution without solution...
Any idea?
