    Various BSOD after clean install

    Please Help

I have had to re install Windows 7 64 bit today on a clients PC. Since the install has completed i have had various BSOD including

    SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION
    NTFS_FILE_SYSTEM

    and just now

    BAD_POOL_HEADER

I have ran chkdsk and found no errors. I have also done a memory test. I then ensured all drivers for the motherboard and chipset were correct. I have been trying to diagnose the problems for hours now with n success. I can say that it now appears that the PC pn;ly blue screens when i am trying to copy the clients content back to the HD. Especially the larger folders.

    Can anyone help me please

    Thank you in advance

    Hello apwcomputers.

You have got numerous errors. My suggestion to you that you do another clean install, following the tutorial: Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7

After that, while installing the drivers, install these drivers only:
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 550 Ti: GeForce 306.23 Driver, dated 13.9.2012
Qualcomm Atheros AR9285 Wireless Network Adapter: ATHEROS Wireless drivers for Windows

Also install a fresh downloaded copy of Microsoft Security Essentials .

    Let us know the results.

Thanks for the reply, I had a feeling that i might have to do this. Is there any reason why i cant use the original Microsoft discs that i have with the PC, other than the fact i would need to reinstall Service Pack 1 separately

    Thanks

No, not at all. You may use your existing disc. But everybody (specially the OEM users) dont have their windows disc, and the guide is written covering all of their necessities.

I tried using the download file but after it copied to the usb it gave me an error saying it wouldnt be bootable because it install the bootsec (i think)

So i decided to try a new install using the disc which i originally used as i have no spare dvds to write too. Anyways i left it installing and have just seen thats its blue screened again

The error i am now getting is

    STOP : 0x00000024 (0x00000000001904FB, 0xFFFFF8800F32D38, 0xFFFFF88002F32590, 0xFFFFF80003CBFD6

    Do some Disc Checks.

    1. Update your SSD's Firmware (If you dont use a SSD, skip it)
    2. Re-seat the sata and power.
    3. Run chkdsk /f/r, following the option two of the tutorial Disk Check
    4. Seatool for dos: SeaTools | Seagate download
Burn it in a blank cd. boot from the CD, click on "Accept", wait for it to finish detecting the drives, then in the upper left corner select "Basic Tests", then select "Long Test" and let it run.

I have checked all the cables and they are fine.

I did chkdsk last night and again that was fine.

I am now trying to reinstall windows again and will see how it goes.

After speaking to my client they have just told me it has been regularly crashing and blue screening. Probably once or twice a week, usually on start up.

Could this be pointing towards a HD or RAM fault

    Carrona.org says : STOP 0x00000024: NTFS_FILE_SYSTEM
Usual causes: Disk corruption, insufficient physical memory, Device driver, Indexing, Resident antivirus, backup, defrag programs, Disk/Drive failing/failure

So, it might be a corrupted HDD, as after formatting no driver/antivirus should be there.

Right i have been out for a few hours and left it to install again after checking all sata cables etc

Its finished the install and i am just about to load the graphics card drivers and wireless lan as advised.

I will have various other components that will require drivers espscially the motherboard chipset. I have a disc but i suspect the drivers are old. I have downloaded the newer versions and can install them. Do you have any suggestions on what to do next

    Thanks

ATM, no :) Its time for wait and see, in which direction it is going. If the problems come back, we will take the necessary action.
