    Um just noticed this and was like a post the other day - fellows Dad tried blasting from the fan side and well it ain't good for the fan eh? as it runs it at speeds way past it's design specs.

    Best method I found was (apart from take it apart of course) was gently pushing some pipe cleaners through from the outside and then blowing from the outside the loosened dust and crud then is mostly blown out past the fan and then the real loose stuff when the fan spins up again. Blowing from the fan side just compacts the crud really anyway into the small "radiator".
