BSOD every few minutes after installing new SSD

    Hello

This is my first post here. I have an HP Envy 14 computer which I bought three years ago. I recently installed a new SSD Hard drive on it since the old one was on the verge of crashing. I did not have a copy of the recovery disk and hence decided to purchase a stand alone copy of Windows 7 Home Premium x64. I found and downloaded all the necessary drivers from the HP Website.

The problem started from the first day after I got the hard drive. My computer crashes, with or without a BSOD, and restarts at random frequent intervals. This is the online Analysis of the .dmp file.

Hello apravink. Search for any available firmware update for the SSD.

No code has to be inserted here.

Intel® SATA Solid-State Drive Firmware Update Tool
    Intel® Solid-State Drive Toolbox

    Free up the startup.

    1. Click on the Start button
    2. Type “msconfig (without quotes), click the resulting link. It will open the System Configuration window.
    3. Select the “Startup” tab.
    4. Deselect all items other than the antivirus.
    5. Apply > OK
    6. Accept the restart.

Also there is some problems with the AVG antivirus's watchdog service. Better you uninstall AVG using AVG Remover. Use Microsoft Security Essentials as your antivirus with windows inbuilt firewall, and free MBAM as the on demand scanner.
Download, install and update those, and then run full system scans with both of them, one by one.

    Let us know the results.

    Hello Arc

Thank you for the reply :). Unfortunately I did all those things but my computer still crashes. I installed the SSD toolbox from intel and it said I have the latest version of firmware. I also removed AVG and closed all the startup programs.

Enable Driver Verifier to monitor the drivers.
Driver Verifier - Enable and Disable
Run Driver Verifier for 24 hours or the occurrence of the next crash, whichever is earlier.

       Information
    Why Driver Verifier:
It puts a stress on the drivers, ans so it makes the unstable drivers crash. Hopefully the driver that crashes is recorded in the memory dump.

How Can we know that DV is enabled:
It will make the system bit of slow, laggy.

       Warning
Before enabling DV, make it sure that you have earlier System restore points made in your computer. You can check it easily by using CCleaner looking at Tools > System Restore.

If there is no points, make a System Restore Point manually before enabling DV.

       Tip

Let us know the results, with the subsequent crash dumps, if any.

Test your RAM modules for possible errors.
How to Test and Diagnose RAM Issues with Memtest86+
Run memtest for at least 8 passes, preferably overnight.
