    BSOD driver_power_state_failure

Hi, I have a BSOD every morning when I open the computer from hibernate.
It will take about 10 mintes and then I have the error driver_state_failure ntoskrnl.exe+e96d2.

I cannot find anything wrong and with bluescreenview I see some conflicting error messages.
    can you help with this?

    regards,

    Ruud

Please enable Driver Verifier the crash dumps dont point out anything definite:

Driver Verifier - Enable and Disable

TIP: If you cant start windows normally once driver verifier is enabled boot into safe mode and then Disable Driver Verifier.

Once Driver verifier has caused a new crash please post the crash dumps here after disabling it.

Run some hard-drive diagnostics and follow these steps:

Find your hard-drive manufacturer and run their tests.

    Additional Tests:

Post a screenshot of Crystal Disk Info summary:

Make sure you have the latest firmware for SSD, and ensure all the SATA and Power cables are connected to the drive.

Check for any file system errors and bad sectors using Option #2 of:

Are you using a SCSI drive? There isn't a .ISO file for any of the tests, if your not able to get the test to work then use the Seagate Tools.

HI, SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker says all is ok.
this is not a iscsi harddisk.
I have tried the Toshiba/fujitsu and seagate tools, both tell me that they cannot find the harddisk or no harddisk in system reattach the cables.

Have you reconnected all the SATA and Power cables connected to the drive? Have you checked within the BIOS to see if the hard-drive is being detected?

I believe you will need to tap the ESC key before the Starting Windows screen appears, in order to boot into the BIOS and check if the hard-drive is being detected.

hi, The system is a laptop and runnning fine. The only problem is that each morning when I turn the laptop on from hibernation the will shutdown within 10 minutes with a bsod and the error.

I have downloaded all the tools and created several boot disks. These tools do not detect the harddrive or will not run against this type of disk.

The windows tools from Fujistu/Toshiba detect the disk but I cannot select the disk for any test.

    Have you ran chkdsk yet?

Disable Hibernate (for now) have seen cause BSODs, usually due to drivers:

You also please post a screenshot of what happens when you are using Toshiba Windows?
