here are the shots,
thanks again Doc,

You need to run MemTest86+ - run it for a minimum of 7 passes. With the amount of RAM you have installed, this will take several hours, so I recommend leaving it to run overnight.Code:******************************************************************************* * * * Bugcheck Analysis * * * ******************************************************************************* MEMORY_MANAGEMENT (1a) # Any other values for parameter 1 must be individually examined. RAM - Test with Memtest86+
I'm posting your snips for other to view. CPU, MB, & Memory all look like good name brand and modern recent versions. Memory looks like a matched set. Not sure why Memtest gave you that message. Let's get some others opinions here.
Not sure if you are real comfortable with working on the inside of the computer or not. But, you might try switching the 2 memory sticks in their opposite slots. #1 into #3 & # 3 into #1. This would be a reseating of them to make sure they are fitted correctly. Only do this with computer shut down and power cord unplugged.
Thank you Golden: no cds or usb flash drives in the house but I will get some tomorrow, meanwhile: the version of memtest I ran the previous tests with shall run again tonight.
Thank you Doc: we'll see what some other opinions offer.
Thank you both,
K
yes I am comfortable working on the inside of the "monster".......(~~~ggg!!!), one of the reasons I got a custom built.
I'll run another memtest and then I'll switch those sticks around, thanks!
K
Remember - its MemTest86+. Other memory testing utilities are not reliable enough. You'll need to find a blank DVD to do this.
thank you, I noticed that difference so tomorrow I shall be a RadioShack customer as to acquire said goods, much obliged.

wall time = 31 hrs
passes = 8
errors = 0
Ideas anyone? Thanks,
K
