BSOD after heavy computer load involving RAM, MEMORY_MANAGEMENT

    Hi,

After getting a new graphics card and SSD for christmas and reformatting after getting the ramnit.gen!A virus, lately I have been getting BSODs and so I started googling for my problem. I found a reccomendation to run driver verifier and send you guys the dump in another post, so I followed the instructions and I will upload the dump here for anyone who knows how to work with them. Just an FYI, I'm not new with computers, and I'm not afraid of getting dirty with them, so you don't have to go easy on instructions to help. Any reccommendations on other things to try would be nice, and a huge thanks in advance for your help.

EDIT: I forgot to say that I get the BSODs usually after running games involving RAM and graphics use, but I also get major problems running Prime95 in Blend, but not problems in Small FFT, so it seems like a memory issue. I was thinking that maybe, because of upgrading to a much more power hungry graphics card, my 500W PSU can't handle it, so I was going to get a Corsair 760i as I've wanted a new PSU for a while and this is an excuse what do you guys think?

    Hi,

    Driver Verifier I/O Verification violations.

    DRIVER_VERIFIER_IOMANAGER_VIOLATION (c9)
The IO manager has caught a misbehaving driver.

    3: kd> lmvm dvdfab
    start end module name
    fffff880`083bc000 fffff880`083d1000 dvdfab T (no symbols)
    Loaded symbol image file: dvdfab.sys
    Image path: \SystemRoot\system32\drivers\dvdfab.sys
    Image name: dvdfab.sys
    Timestamp: Thu Aug 11 04:05:10 2011 (4E4346E6)
Driver Verifier is running on your system, did you intentionally run driver verifier,
    if not please deactivate it.

Driver Verifier - Enable and Disable

dvdsub.sys is not a crucial system file, perhaps as a result of a failed program install.

DVDFab - Copy Any DVD to DVDR/PSP/iPod. Fastest DVD Copy Software!

    Uninstall this program if installed.

Therefore you can safely remove this problem driver navigate to:

    C:\ windows\system32\drivers\

Find dvdfab.sys and either right click and delete or rename to:

    dvdfab.sys.old

    Hope this helps

    Please post back any progress

    cheers
    Dave

I'll try uninstalling DVDFab and making sure the driver's gone Northernsoul, see how that goes. Thanks for the quick reply. And once I got the BSoD (which was at bootup, didn't even get to login), I turned off Driver Validator.

    Hi,

Theres no problem with the activation - its all good.

Please follow NorthernSouls suggestion and see if you get a new BSOD - if you do, post a fresh SF zip file, and then run a minimum of 7 passes of this to fully test your RAM:

    RAM - Test with Memtest86+

I'll do some BSoD testing tomorrow, as it's time for bed over here As for memtest, I did 9 runs over the RAM with it a few days ago (ran for about 18 hours) and it didn't come up with a single error. It seems to only fail if it's being used with something else in Windows. Haven't tested on another OS yet.

Ok. Are you an MSDN subscriber by any chance? I might have missed something in the MGADIAG report.

My father is an MSDN subscriber, so I'm running an MSDN key for Windows. How does MSDN change the report? Is it just the reusable key?
