    bsod, driver_irql_not_less_or_equal, information: storport.sys

as title says, thats what i got. when i run debug, it says iastorå.sys(i think), but i dont know which of these who are right. this started to happen after i installed corsair link which come with my H100i. but my H100i don't show up in corsair link either, i have to plug it in and out several times befor it gets detected, this is connected via one usb header on my mobo.(i also did a serious cleanup in my messy cable management, remapped all wires when i first had it open)! but when i installed clean windows on another disc to test, everything works fine, even corsair link and it have been showing up everytime there so far. from what i can see, this is a common issue with RSTe, but i got bsod after i uninstalled that aswell. there was an KB hotfix for storsys probs from microsoft, but when i try to run it it says it's not fr my computer..... what to do

Registered on this forum just to answer you.

I have the same problem. I've applied one solution, but not enough time has passed since to know whether it helped or not.

Check out this post and the link to another post inside it.

I've removed RSTe 3.5.xxx and installed this version, confirming that I want to overwrite the previous installed driver version.

P.S. driver itself won't be uninstalled, when you remove RSTe. But it should be removed, when you overwrite it with another version.

I will post back if the version downgrade helped me, but that won't happen earlier than in 7-8 hours.

    ---------------------

UPDATE: Uptime is about 3 hours now, and no bsod so far I will post back once more later.
UPDATE: Uptime is about 5 hours now, and still no bsod (it used to happen every 2h with 3.5.xxxx version). I think we can say that problem is solved.

I'm still at work in the office, but I phoned my brother and he said that taskbar is full of running apps. That clearly means that everything is in the same state as it was when I wrote the first post. There was no bsod since I've installed RSTe version 3.1.xxx (for about 7 hours already).

P.S. there was bsod with storport.sys every 2 hours with RSTe 3.5.xxx

    Problem is clearly solved.

I hope this works for you as well. Let me know if it does.

    --------

One thing I have to check though, that there are no side-effects and version 3.1 does all I need it to do. However, even if it doesn't, I can live with that. No more bsods at least.

yes, i also dont have those bsod, anymore after reinstalling all corsair link stuff, and removed RSTe. so we're good so far with bsod's =) however, i still cant get my H100i to get recognized in corsair link, which i think started the bsod's. so im not sure where this is going.... but at least i dont have to deal with bsod's while trying to figure it out =) again, tnxfor your time so far and for sharing the fix!

I have got H100i as well. It worked out of the box, no problems, everything is recognized in Link.

    CorsairLINK v2.2.0
    Corsair H100i firmware v1.0.4
    Corsair Hyrdo USB v2.0.0

Have you got USB cable connected from the controller to the mainboard?
Controller power cord should be connected to SATA power, and 1-wire connector is connected to CPU fan port on mainboard.

In other words everything should be connected as in the installation guide book, which comes together with H100i.

What goes to RSTe, I need it because I have got RAID installed. But now everything works fine with RSTe v3.1.xxx
