BSOD playing TERA Online - Locale ID: 4105

    Hi,
I was starting to play Tera online and a few other games, and whenever I play for about 5 mins the computer fully resets, I don't really know if its the PSUs fault or the CPUs.

    Thanks for reading.

    Hello LegendGamea.

You are getting a stop 0x116, which is a graphics\display related BSOD.
    Code:
    *******************************************************************************
    *                                                                             *

    *******************************************************************************

Use !analyze -v to get detailed debugging information.

    Update your ATI/AMD display driver.
You can get it from the link in our forum, Latest AMD Catalyst Video Driver for Windows 7, or you may go to AMD Graphics Driver and Software and opt for Automatically Detect and Install the appropriate driver for your card.

During installation, you may opt for advanced installation, and install the display driver only, not the Catalyst Control Center.

Also, as you are playing online games, you need to pay attention to the network adapter drivers, too.

    • Realtek RTL8168C(P)/8111C(P) Family PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet NIC (NDIS 6.20): Update from Realtek
    • Broadcom 802.11g Network Adapter (Do you use it? No updates are available for it, apparently)

An ambitious and "not that efficient" antivirus may also cause network blockage. Uninstall AVG using AVG Remover. Use Microsoft Security Essentials as your antivirus with windows inbuilt firewall, and free MBAM as the on demand scanner.
Download, install and update those, and then run full system scans with both of them, one by one.

    Free up the startup.

    1. Click on the Start button
    2. Type “msconfig (without quotes), click the resulting link. It will open the System Configuration window.
    3. Select the “Startup” tab.
    4. Deselect all items other than the antivirus.
    5. Apply > OK
    6. Accept then restart.

An old BIOS is also to be taken into consideration.
    Code:
BIOS Version/Date Award Software International, Inc. FE, 18/09/2009
Get the BIOS update from Gigabyte.

Finally, follow this guide: STOP 0x116: VIDEO_TDR_ERROR troubleshooting
