If you are overclocking, set everything back to default.

Test your RAM modules for possible errors.
How to Test and Diagnose RAM Issues with Memtest86+
Run memtest for at least 8 passes, preferably overnight.

Stress test the Graphics Card using Furmark.
Video Card - Stress Test with Furmark

    Stress test the CPU.
Hardware - Stress Test With Prime95

And follow the guide: Stop 0x124 - what it means and what to try

    Let us know the results.

I hit about 9100 frames in 30 minutes in furmark before I stopped it and the temperature was at a constant 52~51C, no artifacts either so I'm assuming it's passed?

    Still doing the rest

EDIT: Ran Prime95 for 2 hours, all passes no errors or warnings. I'll test the RAM tonight :)

Also, I don't know what the default settings are for my desktop so..

Continue with the tests, and inform us the results.

Enter into the BIOS and see if the CPU clock settings are set to be default or not.

Asking it coz it is difficlt to get rid of stop 0x124 in an overclocked system.

The CPU settings are set on auto so I'm not sure what to do about that

No BSOD yesterday or today so I'm not sure whether I should still check it out

My desktop WAS moved though so maybe a loose cable?

EDIT: I take it back, I just had another BSOD while playing ARMA 2

Also I have the memtest on usb and boot settings on usb first but it doesn't run

Okay I'm tweaking around with my OC settings and I'm no longer getting Windows Explorer has stopped working x5 or so when it first shows the desktop.
