My Superior Intelligence!

My academic background is in epistemology and symbolic logic. As a result, I am an absolute Slave to Logic. I solve all my problems with Logic. I cannot play the piano. I cannot draw a picture. I have no artistic skills.

But I am a Brilliant Logician!

So, my little friends, here is what I have deduced via binary decision-tree logic (OK, I made that up.):

1) The problem is not a short in the motherboard (quite frankly, Steve I was embarrassed for you on that one).

Why? Everything works fine - after it boots up.

2) The problem is in a scrambled BIOS. How do I know that? Well, in a completely unpredictable and ever-changing fashion:

a) The bootable drive order gets scrambled - and I need to tell it that only the #1 SSD is available
b) The boot order also gets randomized, such that I must constantly be setting the Optical Drive as #1 and the SSD as #2

How to Fix the Problem? Glad you asked that.

I shall flash the BIOS again with the latest BIOS from the ASUS site (Crosshair V Formula)
I shall also download the BIOS that precedes the latest in the event that the latest BIOS is buggy.

Now sit back, relax, watch and learn

I suspect that it may have happened from being improperly turned off and back on way too many times in a row. Of course, I'm not testing this theory on my computer. No way! I'm just going to make this guess and back away slowly.
