Computer randomly restarts usually during video/music, not BSOD.

    Hey guys,

My computer seems to randomly restart without any warning. It usually occurs when I'm watching videos or listening to music. I thought it was an overheating problem so I cleaned up the computer, but the problem continues to persist. It isn't a BSOD since the blue screen doesn't appear. Sorry if I'm missing some information. I followed the sticky about creating a memory dump so I hope I did it correctly. Just let me know if I am missing anything and I will correct it.

Graphics card - NVIDIA GeForce 9500 GT
    Motherboard - ECS 945P-A
    2gb of ram
    Processor - Intel(R) Pentium(R) D CPU 2.80GHz, 2793 Mhz, 2 Core(s), 2 Logical Processor(s)

    Looks fine, thanks.
    Code:
Start Menu\Programs\avast! Free Antivirus	Public:Start Menu\Programs\avast! Free Antivirus	Public
Please remove Avast! with its removal tool:

    Microsoft Security Essentials.

Recommended from a strict BSOD perspective, compatibility & stability compared to other antiviruses/internet security software. It is free and lightweight:-

       Warning
Do not start the free trial of Malware Bytes; remember to deselect that option when prompted.

Run a full scan with both (separately) once downloaded, installed and updated.

Perform a System File Check to check the integrity of all protected Windows 7 :
    1. Click on the start
    2. Type CMD on Search
    3. Left click and Run as Administrator
    4. Type SFC /scannow

    Full tutorial here:

Make sure you are not running out of Disk space. Run Disk Check on your hard drive for file system errors and bad sectors on it.

Reduce items at start-up. Nothing except anti-virus is required.

Install all updates including Service Pack 1:

Upload a screenshot of your hard disk using CrystalDiskInfo:

For monitoring the heat/celsius of the system, use Speccy or HWMonitor:

Btw a few more errors you should be aware of:

I ran the Windows Memory Diagnostic and noticed that my computer would always restart during it which never allowed for the test to be completed. Afterwards I took a stick of RAM out (1 GB) and have not had the reboot problems since. Tried doing the memory test once again and it was completed without error. I did what you asked just in case there are any other underlying issues. However, I'd like to ask is this a plausible explanation? And if it is, is the stick of RAM forever ruined or can it be salvaged?

-I ran both Malwarebytes and Microsoft Security Essentials and both found no malicious files.
    -Systemcheck found no errors.
    -Diskcheck found nothing.
    -Installed service pack 1.

I have yet to update the BIOS and solve the Idleport error. Will do this ASAP.

    The screenshots are attached.

Follow this post for the Crystal Disk:

Ram sticks can get spoiled for many reasons, if that one ram stick does not work...you would have to get a new one for your computer.

    Let us know the results.
