BSOD Toshiba Laptop Win7 64
My son is away at college and he e-mailed that his 6 month old latop (i.e. purchased new in Aug 2012) periodically (40% - 50%) BSOD on a cold boot. When the system reboots, windows loads fine. He has not installed any software or had any other issues until this past week. If he does a hot reboot, the laptop has not BSOD so far. I had him run a check on the memory and it tests fine. A chkdsk yielded nothing either.
I have read about how to get the dump file attached to my question and this make take several days for me to walk him through this process...but I thought that I would give the information that I currently have related to his BSOD. The BSOD is an IRQL_not_less_or_equal with the following stop code:
0X000000A (0x0000000000000000, 0x0000000000000002, 0x0000000000000000, 0xFFFFF800030D4CD4)--he sent this information to me via e-mail as a picture he took on his droid phone of the BSOD screen.
This morning he captured this additional information when he encourntered yet another cold boot BSOD via a screen capture:
