BSOD at random times on ASUS laptop

I am getting the BSOD almost daily on my laptop. My computer is getting very "buggy" in other ways, as well, and I have been forced to shut down with the power button much more frequently because the screen is frozen. I uploaded my dump file from the latest BSOD. Can someone please help me?

    Thanks,
    Jessica

    Welcome to SevenForums.

       Tip
Uninstall using Revo Uninstaller Free. Use Advanced Mode to uninstall so you can remove registry leftover of the software.

    Microsoft Security Essentials.

Recommended from a strict BSOD perspective, compatibility & stability compared to other antiviruses/internet security software. It is free and lightweight:-

       Warning
Do not start the free trial of Malware Bytes; remember to deselect that option when prompted.

Run a full scan with both (separately) once downloaded, installed and updated.

Reduce items at start-up. Nothing except anti-virus is required.

Perform a System File Check to check the integrity of all protected Windows 7 :
    1. Click on the start
    2. Type CMD on Search
    3. Left click and Run as Administrator
    4. Type
      Code:
      SFC /scannow

    still need help

Thank you for your reply. I am apparently a newbie, because I am completely lost. How do I know whether I use the AICharger.sys driver so it is safe to remove it? If I need to keep it, where do I go to update it? I have tried all the links posted in the reply, but am just becoming more confused.

Also, where do I go to update the Fresco Logic xHCI (USB3) Device Driver, as instructed? The link provided went to a page with a lot of text and links, but nothing was there to update the driver. One link looked promising but it took me to the Fresco Logic site and said to contact the manufacturer.

Lastly, I ran the system scan as recommended and it said "Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them. Details are included in the CBS.Log." I attached that log for your reference.

Thank you for your help! Sorry I am not as techie and will need a little hand-holding.

    I've uploaded a file - jdaaa.zip - to my SkyDrive at Noel's SkyDrive
    Please download and save it.

Right-click on the saved file and select Extract all...
Change the target to C:\ and click on Extract
Close all windows (it would be a good idea to print these instructions!)
Now reboot to the Repair Environment - as soon as the machine restarts, start tapping F8 - this should bring up the Advanced Boot Menu, at the top of which should be the option 'Repair my Computer'
    Pick that
You'll have to log in with your username and password.

Pick the option to use a Command Prompt
    At the prompt type
    DIR C:\jdaaa
hit the enter key - if you get a 'Not Found' error try
    DIR D:\jdaaa
    or
    DIR E:\jdaaa

The drive letter in use when you find the folder will need to be substituted (for<drive>) into the following command...

    XCOPY <drive>:\jdaaa <drive>:\windows\winsxs /y /i /s /v /h

    (e.g.XCOPY P:\wfire P:\windows\winsxs /y /i /s /v /h )

run the command (it should take almost no time)and when the prompt returns, type
    EXIT
and hit the Enter key to exit Command Prompt - reboot to Normal Mode Windows.

Now run SFC /SCANNOW in an Elevated Command Prompt
then reboot and upload the new CBS.log file to your SkyDrive Public folder, and post a new link

Also run a new MGADiag report, and post the result.

For FrescoLogic, see here: FRESCO LOGIC INC.===Leap into SuperSpeed===

For AI charger, See here: ASUSTeK Computer Inc. -Support- Drivers and Download P6T under Utilities. But the update is not an updated version actually. To uninstall it, uninstall ASUS AI Suite in Control Panel > Programs and Features.

    still having BSODs

I am still having BSODs. I deleted the AICharger.sys, as instructed. However, when I did that, I was no longer able to print or charge my cell phone or update my ipod on the computer. All of the USB chargers no longer worked. So I went online and downloaded the USB Charger Plus for Windows 7 64-bit, and that fixed the issue of my USB chargers not working. But the very next day (today) I had a BSOD.

See attached for the mini dump file.

Please help! I cannot go without my USB ports working, but I need to eliminate these BSODs.

    Thanks.

    file again

Here is the dump file again. For some reason, it keeps adding to it even after it says it's done. Hopefully this one is the complete file.

Have you run the fix I posted?
Please post the new CBS log - compress it and attach it here.
