    ok i did all those suggestions, seatools for dos couldn't find any hard disks on my computer for some reason, so i had to use seatools for windows

    i tried installing some big software from dvd to make it bsod but it worked fine for the first time. so then i tried copying a large amount of data from one hdd to another and that worked fine too. so then i loaded chrome to write a new post here and got an instant bsod!

    i've attached the dumps in case it helps

    Code:
    *******************************************************************************
    *                                                                             *
    *                        Bugcheck Analysis                                    *
    *                                                                             *
    *******************************************************************************

    Use !analyze -v to get detailed debugging information.

    BugCheck A, {fffffa98050d8350, 2, 1, fffff80002a3bbb8}

    Probably caused by : memory_corruption ( nt!MiDeleteKernelStackPages+118 )

    Followup: MachineOwner
    ---------
    So it is not showing any real probable cause, as usual.

    As per Carrona.org, STOP 0x0000000A: IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
    Usual causes:
    Kernel mode driver, System Service, BIOS, Windows, Virus scanner, Backup tool, compatibility

    As a test, care to uninstall SanityCheck?
    Code:
    Start Menu\Programs\SanityCheck
    It is important to know what happens in absence of that program. To be safe from Rootkits, the best way is to use the standalone TDSSKiller.

    ok i uninstalled sanity check yesterday afternoon. still had one bsod since then but that is a massive improvement compared to what it was like before. are there any more things we can try or is it coming down to faulty hardware now?

    Ross, if you get any more BSODs, let us see those. Depending on the nature of those crashes, we will decide our next steps.

    That one is not showing any specific cause, and it happened a long time ago, compared to the usual situation of the issue. So, not troubleshooting on it ATM, ok? :)
    Now let us observe the situation. If it crashes again, we will start our action again.

    What do you think about this plan? :)
