Hello Arc and thanks for your reply. I'm going nuts with this issue.
I have uninstalled SPTD. I didn't know that it was a well known bsod causer. Thx.
"Thsoe programs cause extensive network and storage blockage, in order to protest you. And you are having some sort of HDD malfunction. "
Protest me? They have worked well for me in the past. HDD malfunction? Should I do hdd tests to confirm? My computer is under black tie (I think that's what they call it) protection at bestbuy, so if we're unable to find the issue should I go tell them?
I have attached other logs that I forgot to initially attach when I created this thread. These logs were saved before I formatted. I thought that by doing the "Upgrade" installation of windows 8 (where it creates the windows.old folder) was the culprit... obviously not (although I do have more disk space) I also ran SFC /SCANNOW, the log is in the zip file.
Seeing as how WINDBG thought Win32k was the probable cause, its a dead end because it's used by the system. -.-
Is it absolutely nessisary for me to use the built in defender? The bsods accorded before I had the anti virus, I'm not very fond of windows defender. It takes A LONG, LONG time to scan on all computers I've tried on it (Even on a core i7 cpu!)
Thanks again for all your guys help! I really appriciate this
I've run into a problem.
I uninstalled the update to the display driver 13-1_vista_win7_win8_64_dd_ccc_whql.exe, the display driver version is "Display Driver ver. 9.012"
Display Driver ver. 9.012
Display Driver ver. 9.012
Display Driver ver. 9.012
The screen went blank, restarted. Then my pc was at the smaller resolution (as it should, it was liike 1024 x 768) But the driver version was changed to 8.981.0.0. The lenovo driver! I uninstalled it again in device manager again. When it went blank again, it changed to 9.2.0.0. This is apparantly the windows 8 default driver. But it doesn't make since because:
9.2.0.0 is the default driver, windows reports it as release date 9/27/2012.
13-1_vista_win7_win8_64_dd_ccc_whql.exe (AMD driver) is 9.012, release date 1/17/2013.
1/17/2013
The lenovo one is 8.981.0.0, released 27 Aug 2012
Why would it revert to the 8.9 release, and then 9.2.0.0 after I uninstalled the display driver?
Yes, there's a EightForums ... Windows 8 Forums
The "protest" is a typo ... it would be "protect".
You know, the security is totally on your hand. If you regularly visit the websites those can harm your computer, youmaymust need a spy protector .... but why three? They are supposed to conflict, and will make each other not performing.
The best way to get protected from online threats is to avoid the threats.
ntoskrnl is the kernel on which a module crashes ... it can never be a cause of a crash.
What we need to see is any further crash dump ... after applying those suggestions. So apply those changes and and let us know the results, with further crash dumps, if any.
Oh jeez, I apologize. I didn't know there was such a forum D: Should I go migrate over there then Dx?
Three, for three separate opinions :) And they are not real-time protection, how would they conflict?
Alright, as soon as further crash dumps come up, I will post them there. Thanks x9999999999999999999999999999999 :)
If you want a favor in return for your help, I can teach on how to pwn in mmos or black ops or something of the sort as long as its not impossible (like finding a way to create immortality)
