    BSOD while loading Mixcraft :: APC_INDEX_MISMATCH ntoskrnl.exe+75c40

A little recent history - I built a new PC pretty much for music production using Mixcraft 6 Pro Studio.
    Asrock Z77 Pro3
    Intel Core i7 3770K
    8GB DDR3-1600
    Sandisk Extreme 120GB SSD
    WD Caviar Green 1.5TB
    Corsair CX500 Power Supply
    NZXT Silent Case
    Win 7 Pro 64

All was well until I started getting the dreaded 'blue screen of death'.

This seems to be happening only on Mixcraft and only when I launch. The error is APC_INDEX_MISMATCH. After googling this for a bit it seems a driver thing or a hard disk error. Drivers are the usual suspect so I dug through the logs. M-Audio Fast Track C-400 is showing several errors in the log. I updated the interface drivers and am still getting the BSOD when I launch Mixcraft?

Some other history. I installed mixcraft on a non-default drive...The E drive which is the Caviar Green 1.5TB. The OS is on the C drive...the Sandisk 120GB SSD. No apparent problems there...I guess.

Please note the crash when launching Mixcraft is intermittent. Sometimes it's fine and launches no problem, bang out some tunes and then other times I get the blue screen with the APC error.

This crash happens only when I load this one program. Photoshop is fine, surfing no problem, etc. Any help is appreciated.

I have seen this particular BSOD as of late being caused by antivirus software, and I notice that you have Norton internet security installed. Please for the sake of testing uninstall it with this tool: Norton Removal Tool and then replace it with MSE and Mbam. Tip: Be sure to uncheck the box asking you to start a free trial when installing Mbam

Also please run the following commands from an elevated command prompt:

    Code:
    sfc /scannow
    and

    Code:
    chkdsk /r/ f

Dsprague - Thank you for the reply.

I guess Norton was bundled with something? Maybe my AsRock utilities disk. Norton has been removed.

Running the scans you recommended now.

Chkdsk was executed in read/write mode.

    Checking file system on E:
The type of the file system is NTFS.

Chkdsk cannot run because the volume is in use by another
process. Chkdsk may run if this volume is dismounted first.
ALL OPENED HANDLES TO THIS VOLUME WOULD THEN BE INVALID.
Would you like to force a dismount on this volume? (Y/N) Volume dismounted. All opened handles to this volume are now invalid.
    Volume label is Data.

OK... so that looks alright, please enable driver verifier and allow it to run for 24 hours or untill your computer crashes:

Driver Verifier - Enable and Disable

once your computer has crashed with driver verifier enabled please post the new dump files here.

Tip: if you can not boot normally into windows after enabling driver verifier please enter safe mode by pressing the F8 key before the windows logo appears, once in safe mode disable driver verifier.
