msconfig
Startup items sometimes dont let DV work properly.
So, if I get it right I should disable everything (including sound) from msconfig correct? And what if the sound is the issue? Just saying
Something like this
Attachment 262039
Keep only the antivirus there. In the case it is MSC (microsoft security client).
Sound does not have any relation with MSconfig autostarts. The sound listed here is just a sound manipulator software's auto start application. Without it, sound will be sounded as nicely as it is, and you can call the software anytime from Start> All programs.
OK now?
Yea, now I'm able to log in normal mode. Now I need a dump I guess!
So, on this way the DV will be included in the dump for further investigation.
UPDATE: I don't have a game to test the ALT-TAB situation. I'll come back when something good comes out :)

I come back with some interesting results on my issue. It seems that without the startup programs I get no crash. I'm suspecting the Rocket Dock as my problem. Maybe I should turn it on and see if I get a BSOD.
Hello,
It seems that I got rid the BSOD in-game but a new problem came up lately, even after a format (can it be related with the previous one?).
Actually, everything started by having random freezing on desktop and not even CTRL+Alt+Del worked. Only reset button. Furthermore, I got no BSOD by that (so no info at all). Twice the monitor went off and the PC restarted!
Today, I got my first BSOD (happy man here)!
A BCCode x116 which points the GPU I pressume. Upon restart and after 10-15 min. the GPU drivers crashed but still I can browse etc (as I'm writing now).
Here is the minidump. Any help would be appreciated once more.
EDIT: I forgot to mention that I'm running with the latest drivers 320.49 x64 and passed successfully Furmark (on 1080x profile 15mins) and Prive 95 (10 passes).
Regards,
Theo
Stop overclocking and see it is is providing any more BSODs or not.
As you are getting BSODs, you should stop overclocking and run all the hardware components like CPU, GPU and RAM to their default settings. Also set the BIOS to default, too.
How To Clear CMOS (Reset BIOS)
As you passed furmark, the GPU should not be faulty, and the latest driver version is not reported as bad yet.
Is the computer hot? Report us the heat of the computer after a couple of hours of your normal usage. Upload a screenshot of the summery tab of Speccy.
I haven't overclocked this rig since it's unstable. It's running on default clocks.
I'm attaching the SF as the previous attachment was only the dump file.
I'm running Real temp (with log) all the time. The CPU is on 36 (all 4 cores) and the GPU is on 39 as I'm writing now. I repeat for the record that this is happening while on desktop and not in-game anymore.
I understand your point about the GPU (passing Furmark etc) but isn't kinda odd that the drivers stop responding? Last time that happened to me was with my GTX285 while oc'ed (some ticks on volt corrected everything tho)
correct!
Also, I forgot to mention that my GPU is factory oc'ed if that makes any difference.
Does the event viewer on win7 makes any sense? I see Kernel-power (event ID 41) (task category 63)
