BSOD when computer sits for a while - Think it might be Wireless mouse

Hello,

I've got an interesting problem that has recently cropped up.

I like to have my gaming PC hooked up to my television with an HDMI output. I have a 700W Power Supply, and it is running a Radeon HD 6770. I bought a cheap wireless mouse and keyboard to help me reduce the clutter in the house. Once I purchased the wireless mouse and keyboard, my computer would just not be stable anymore, if I let it sit overnight, the computer would inevitably have to be rebooted (typically by disconnecting the power from the power supply). I took the computer down to my basement and started troublleshooting it from that point. The computer still exhibited the loss of stability, it crashed on me on a couple of occasions when not doing anything to it. I decided to take all of the USB connectors out (X-Box controller and wireless mouse and keyboard), and see what happened then. Once I disconnected the wireless mouse and keyboard fob, the computer stayed alive for an entire week. I chalked it up to just having a cheap wireless mouse and keyboard that doesn't play nice with Windows 7, so I bought a new Microsoft wireless mouse and keyboard 2000, and moved it upstairs. After about six hours in the living room it crashed again. I'm hoping that someone can take a gander at the minidump file and help me figure out exactly what is going on with my machine.

When we see this situation, we can consider it as a driver bug.

Here we have a very limited information supplied by you. To let us have a closer look at the issue, you need to post it following the Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) Posting Instructions.

Anyway, the problem driver seems to be Ralink RT2860 series Wireless LAN Car, form the driver's name. Some other manufacturer also uses this driver, but due to lack of information supplied by you, we cannot say that it is relink with certainty.

That is a USB dongle, I guess? It is blocking network to work properly, it is making the USB ports fail. If it is ralink, update the driver from MediaTek - Downloads Windows. Otherwise update it from the manufacturer's site.

Thank you so much for trying to help me. I used the SF Diagnostic tool from the website, and used the grab all functionality. I think this is what you are looking for. Could you let me know if I should proceed with the ralink driver update.

What you have uploaded is not the Grab All output .... grab all grabs much more things. for everybody, every time. If you want the assistance that have asked for, follow what is suggested.

Anyway, shortening it a bit for you ..... upload your MSINFO32.nfo file.

Click on the start button
Type "msinfo32" (without quotes) in the search bar of the start menu, click the resulting link. It will open the System Information window.
File>Save. In the "File Name" filed, put "MSINFO32" (without Quote), give the save location to desktop, and click the "save" button.
Give the time for processing, it will save a .nfo file on your desktop.
Zip it, and upload it following the instruction.

It is not very specified which one is this.

You know the manufacturer of the LAN card I guess? Search for driver updates from their site. If no update you can find, better you opt for another device. Or use the Realtek ethernet connection.

Update Realtek RTL8168D/8111D Family PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet NIC, too, from Realtek.

This startup entry is not necessary, Remove it. Free up the startup.

Click on the Start button
Type “msconfig (without quotes), click the resulting link. It will open the System Configuration window.
Select the “Startup” tab.
Deselect all items other than the antivirus.
Apply > OK
Accept then restart.

Also, as a test, uninstall Avast using Avast Uninstall Utility. Use Microsoft Security Essentials as your antivirus with windows inbuilt firewall, and free MBAM as the on demand scanner.
Download, install and update those, and then run full system scans with both of them, one by one.
