    heyy Dave

u said to remove Tuneup utilities Program as Window 7 does not require this program,
and it will most likely do more harm than good.

can u clarify it to me?

I hope Dave will not mind it if I post a bit here.

One most frequent harms made by TuneUp is, it wipes out everything containing the installer folder (C:\Windows\Installer; it is a hidden system folder). Then, you will loss all the program icons and uninstallers of all the programs using MSI based installer.

It removes registries aggressively .... and removes important entries, too.

    And much more ....

Is it a must for you that you need to use a disc image mounter? Nowadays all the functions of an ODD is done by flash drives.

All the image mounter programs are problematic. As they try to vertualize hardware, the problem occurs. The best option is to use free 7-zip. It can extract any type of disc images, so the work will be done at per. At a maximum, you will miss some animated DVD movie menu screens, and nothing more.

Try MagicDisc. Bit better as it does not use SPTD. But dont keep a drive always mounted. Mount a drive only when it is needed, and when the need is over, unmount it. If it is set to startup, it will also be problematic.
