BSOD while playing Battlefield 3, ntoskrnl.exe

    Hi,
I'm posting on behalf of a friend, who is not very good at english.
Anyway, his problem seems to appear only while playing Bf3. He formatted and reinstalled windows, checked the RAM with memtest86, and the hard drive with seatools. No errors were reported.
I have no idea what else to try. Hopefully you will be able to shed some light on the issue

    That's a hardware error:

    Start by updating the BIOS.
    Code:
    BIOS Version/Date	American Megatrends Inc. 2105, 26.5.2009
And go through this thread: Stop 0x124 - what it means and what to try

A "stop 0x124" is fundamentally different to many other types of bluescreens because it stems from a hardware complaint.

Stop 0x124 minidumps contain very little practical information, and it is therefore necessary to approach the problem as a case of hardware in an unknown state of distress.

You can read more on this error and what to try here... Stop 0x124 - what it means and what to try: Stop 124 Troubleshooting Strategy
    Code:

Thank you for the fast reply.
We went through the options 1-7 today, however the problem persists. I'll tell him to start disconnecting some nonessential components I guess.
