When dvd not reading music, restart computer and get BSOD
I have windows 7 x64 bit OS. At times, when my regular dvd drive or blue dvd drive does not read a music cd or when I am burning a dvd, the computer does not read the dvd. I have tried many techniques to get it to read but it does not work. I need to reboot and restart my computer to get the computer to work again. As soon as the computer shuts down and then reboots, I get a BSOD message of "
The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck. The bugcheck was: 0x0000007e (0xffffffffc0000005, 0xfffff800034de4ab, 0xfffff8800334d7f8, 0xfffff8800334d050). A dump was saved in: C:\Windows\MEMORY.DMP. Report Id: 031013-21309-01." I have saved the dump file for you and the sf-diagnostic tool files as well attached to this bug report. I do not get any other blue screens for anything else but the dvd drives and I have checked and they all have the latest firmwares that I can get. The regular dvd drive is Optiarc DVD RW AD-5260S and the blueray is HL-DT ST BD -RE WH12LS39. If you have any advice on how to fix the BSOD, it would be appreciated. Any firmware or file that I need, please help me. Thanks RussellTA |

Thanks so much Arc for your advice on the possible issue. I appreciate your help. I ran the segate program and it did not find any issues on the main hard drive at all. All the three drives passed without any issues. I will look in to Nero INCD and Nero Backitup and make sure to fix this issue.
How did u find this in the log notes I posted? I would like to learn as well. RussellTA |

I have removed in Windows/system32/drivers all three inCD files of IncdF.sys, INcdpass.sys, and INCDrec.sys. I also remove many registry places that contained the incd files. DO u happen to know of any other location of these files in Windows.
Thanks RussellTA |

As you have Ashampoo Burning Studio and Cyberlink DVD suit, you can anytime uninstall Nero.
For the issue, what I found is more important that how I found ..... so keeping the problematic element you will not be able to git rid of the issue. If you want to know how I do it, you may see Debugging A BSOD - My way |

Hi Arc,
Thanks for the quick response. I paid for Nero 12 as a paid user and the cyberlink and ashampoo were free for me and I perfer Nero so far. Yes, the issue is way way more important that how u fou7nd it, but I want to learn for myself for the future and grow in the computer field. U did a great job helping me. Any more suggestions on how to get ride of incd.sys from my machine. Thanks RussellTA |

There is no other way .... I am sorry to say.
You may uninstall Nero totally and then reinstall it, to just to make it sure that it was not a bad installation only. |

Computer randomly restarts usually during video/music, not BSOD. Hey guys, My computer seems to randomly restart without any warning. It usually occurs when I'm watching videos or listening to music. I thought it was an overheating problem so I cleaned up the computer, but the problem continues to persist. It isn't a BSOD since the blue screen doesn't appear.... |
