    BSoD while playing EQ - multiple error messages

    After 10 months of stability I've started crashing in game again.

    My system specs are as follows:
    Windows 7 Home Premium
    AMD Phenom II x6 1045T 2.7 GHz
    Foxconn 2AB1 DVT mobo
    ATI Radeon Hd 5570
    8 gigs RAM

    Aside from adding a USB microphone I have made no hardware changes and I do NOT overclock (wouldn't know how to if I wanted to).

    Attached is my SF dump file info.

    Thank you in advance for your assistance :)

    Kai

    Usual causes: Device driver, Malware

    So first, Uninstall McAfee Using McAfee Removal Tool. Uninstall Norton and all Symentec products using Norton Removal tool, too. Use Microsoft Security Essentials as your antivirus with windows inbuilt firewall, and free MBAM as the on demand scanner.
    Download, install and update those, and then run full system scans with both of them, one by one. Scan the system for possible virus infection with the following programs, too.

    Your display driver is too old.

    Code:

    Update your ATI/AMD display driver.
    You can get it from the link in our forum, Latest AMD Catalyst Video Driver for Windows 7, or you may go to AMD Graphics Driver and Software and opt for Automatically Detect and Install the appropriate driver for your card.

    During installation, you may opt for advanced installation, and install the display driver only, not the Catalyst Control Center.

    The BIOS is very old, too.
    Code:
    BiosMajorRelease = 6
    BiosMinorRelease = 2
    BiosVendor = American Megatrends Inc.
    BiosVersion = 6.02
    BiosReleaseDate = 07/21/2010
    SystemManufacturer = Hewlett-Packard
    If possible, plan to update it.

    Update the following network drivers:

    So far I've removed the antivirus and set up MSE instead.
    I scanned for Malware as directed and have not identified anything.
    I have updated my ATi driver but have to update the network drivers...continued crashing has proven problematic.

    I'm uploading another SF file.

    A work in progress

    OK...headed on over there and these are my results
    I did the MS fix to give more time for machine to resolve the TDR issue before crash.

    SFC found no violations.

    Prime95 ran with no crashes occurring for 24 hours

    Furmark also ran with no crashed and took the temp up to 86 degrees where it leveled off and stayed.

    I updated the drivers and was able to play Everquest without crashing for a couple of days but did experience random 5 second freezes in game that persisted. When I went back to the Stop TDR thread I realized I hadn't removed unnecessary programs so I did that and removed a Samsung driver for my cellphone and Verizon's Update program. Once I did I was able to run my game without freezes and was giving it 48 hours of stability before I posted that the problem was resolved.

    After about 36 hours, I started experiencing crashes again. I am uploading the files.

    Thank you again, for your assistance :)

    Despite of the latest display driver, both of them somehow indicates the graphics driver as failing. At this point, I am guessing that are you expecting something more from the old (I think?) ! GB dedicated GPU? Are they crash other than gaming?

    Plan for a BIOS update, too.
    Code:
    BIOS Version/Date    American Megatrends Inc. 6.02, 7/21/2010
    Test your RAM modules for possible errors.
    How to Test and Diagnose RAM Issues with Memtest86+
    Run memtest for at least 8 passes, preferably overnight.

    Is the computer hot? Report us the heat of the computer after a couple of hours of your normal usage. Upload a screenshot of the summery tab of Speccy.

    Make it sure that the PSU is supplying adequate power, specially during gameplay, when the computer consumes more power than that of normal usage.

    Also, if possible dismantle the PC, clean the inside carefully. Clean the air vents and fan grills, so that it can blow the hot air out freely.

    Forgive my ignorance, but how would I do that?

    I forgot to post that I ran MemTest86 3 days ago with no issues. I will run it again tonight.
    Once I stay connected for a couple hours I will post the Speccy snapshot.

    The PSU can be checked manually, but the best way to check it is either to place it in another computer or to place another CPU in this computer.

    Update

    OK...so I took a snapshot with Speccy after managing 2 hours of crash free game play.
    I'm not sure what the temps are really supposed to be but I couldn't seem to figure out how to upload the snapshot as it's not a supported file format (I may not have saved it correctly for that).

    Operating System
    Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit SP1
    CPU
    AMD Phenom II X6 1040T 43 °C
    Thuban 45nm Technology
    RAM
    8.00 GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 693MHz (9-9-9-24)
    Motherboard
    FOXCONN 2AB1 (CPU 1) 42 °C
    Graphics
    LCDTV16 (1920x1080@60Hz)
    ATI Radeon HD 5570 (HP)
    Hard Drives
    932GB Hitachi HDS721010CLA332 SATA Disk Device (SATA) 33 °C
    Optical Drives
    No optical disk drives detected
    Audio
    AMD High Definition Audio Device

    Today I replaced the 300w power supply with a 430w power supply and cleaned out the vans which did have accumulated dust. I also replaced the surge protector it plugs into.
    I rent a private apartment and I have noticed that if someone turns on the vacuum in this room there is a slight difference in the lighting in the room so perhaps that gives more weight to a potential power issue for the computer.

    Wish me luck....gonna see how this goes!

    Thank you again for your time Arc :)

    Temps are within control, but 430 Watt is insufficient enough for a power supply. Specially for gaming.

    Plan to have a PSU that is of more wattage.
