    BSOD playing Simcity while watching Twitch stream

    Hello,

    A bsod has occured twice in the last week and I am requesting some diagnostics on the cause of them.
    I have a suspicion that it is my video drivers.

    Hi Evroz621,

    The crash dump analysis:
    Crash Probably caused by : ntkrnlmp.exe; relates to 'NT Kernel & System' and is updated.

    KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED (1e)
    This indicates that a kernel-mode program generated an exception which the error handler did not catch.

    Code:
    *******************************************************************************
    *                                                                             *

    KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED (1e)
    This is a very common bugcheck. Usually the exception address pinpoints
    the driver/function that caused the problem. Always note this address
    as well as the link date of the driver/image that contains this address.
    Arguments:
    Arg1: ffffffffc0000005, The exception code that was not handled
    Arg2: fffff800030dd36c, The address that the exception occurred at
    Arg3: 000000000000fa80, Parameter 0 of the exception
    Arg4: 0000000000000000, Parameter 1 of the exception

    Please try the following steps:

    1. Try uninstalling 'SimCity' (for troubleshooting purpose) and check results (Please share how you sourced it)

    2. Please update the 'display drivers' for 'nVidia GeForce GTX 460 adapter' from here: Drivers | GeForce
    Alternatively, you may try removing the 'current display drivers'; restart the system; and install fresh drivers from the above mentioned link. To remove the driver, open 'Device Manager' > Locate & Expand 'Display Adapters' > Right click and uninstall 'nVidia related driver' > Follow through with the uninstall process > Restart the system > Install fresh drivers from the link > Recheck performance.

    3. Run the 'Disk Check (Command Prompt)' using 'Option 2' in the following tutorial: Disk Check

    4. Also run an 'anti-virus scan' to see if the system is infected. You may install 'Microsoft Security Essentials' Microsoft Security Essentials - Microsoft Windows

    5. Check with the motherboard manufacturer for a 'BIOS Update', if available:
    Code:
    BiosMinorRelease = 15
    BiosVendor = American Megatrends Inc.
    BiosVersion = 0802
    BiosReleaseDate = 08/24/2010
    Hope this helps. Do reply with the findings.
