- Have you overclocked or changed any voltages or timings?
- Do use sleep or hibernate at all?
- Have you updated the BIOS?
I'm going to request some help, but for now, try this:
---------------------------------------------------
Run Driver Verifier to scan for any corrupted drivers which may be causing problems, this program works by running various stress tests on drivers, in order to produce a BSOD which will locate the driver; run for least 24 hours:

alright... 24hrs? :/
No overclocking or voltage changing on my factory laptop.
I sometimes use hibernation.
Not all the time.
All my BIOS's (both gfx and motherboard) have been updated.
I might have missed if this is still the origiinal factory preinstall, which is a corrupt install to begin with smothering the best OS ever with bloatware and duplicate utilities that have better versions built into Win7.
If so I'd strongly consider following the steps to get and keep a perfect Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7. As it's a specialty of the forums we'll be glad to help you as you go, and you'll then know you have a perfect baseline install.
Laptop, sleep and graphics ...... the most tough combination to debug It gives a very little scope to go for experiments.
Go for a clean reinstall as Greg suggested.
If it crashes even then, disable hibernate and call Dell to check your Hardware. They may open it and check if the GPU is correctly placed in the PCIe slot.
Get a cooling pad, too.
Edit: Update the touchpad driver: http://www.synaptics.com/resources/drivers.
Get it downloaded, install it after the clean reinstall.
Factory resets....
I've only done it 4 times for Dell, and they also had someone come out and check the hardware a while ago....
Blegh..
A factory Recovery is the opposite of a Clean Reinstall.
One is the worst possible install of Win7 you can have.
The other is the best possible install, made perfect if you follow our tips based on helping with tens of thousands of them here.
:/
What of all my data on my hard drive?
I've already had Dell break my first hard drive, lose 250Gigs of info -.-
Now I've got about 150G in actual data I would like to keep.. Not just programs and games I can redownload..
The clean reinstall will format my hard drive? right?
Yeah and you should wipe the HD first to get the cleanest slate, using Diskpart Clean Command
from the booted installer Command Line.
Data should always be backed up externally anyway; anything less is reckless. Use an external HD for large backups, or a modern method like Sync, Backup and Store your Files to the Cloud with Skydrive - Windows 7 Forums.
Just two cents worth from me Skepitcal to check to see if the fan and rad are doing the job for temps - get a very bright light hold it close into the exit vent and look into the fan apertures - should see quite good light penetration if not mate the rad is probably blocked with crud. I always attached small small mesh filter material (nothing special a piece of black panty hose is ok) hold it over the intakes with black cloth duct tape it stops the very fine stuff getting in.
Pic is for example of looking for that light .
Now it might not have anything to do with it but have done a few fixes where removing the battery fixed the problem - whether the things was over volting something when hooked up or what I don't know but worth a try oh and test the adaptor volts.
