BSOD - even without any load
I purchased a HP computer with Windows 7 installed and upgraded it to Windows 8 - 64 bit system. Straight away I started getting BSOD for no particular reason and figured it was my NVidia driver v 314.07 (18/02/13) then I proceed to roll it back to v 310.90 (29/12/12) and the BSOD went away. For the past 4 months I had a reasonable run with 1 or 2 BSOD a month.
But since yesterday it is no-stop BSODs (DSP Watchdog Violation & System Service exception), sometimes within minutes of staring up with zero load on resources. I tried to reinstall the newer version of NVidia driver and then roll it back to last known good version (310.90) without little success.
Only difference I can think of are the two latest Windows security and system updates that came through on the 24.03.13 (the day before my troubles).
My system specs are as follows:
Windows 8 64 bits
Intel i7 -3770 - 3.4GHz
NVidia GTX 580
16 GB RAM
WD 120 GB SSID (OS drive)
WD 1 & 2 TB drives
LG LED IPS Monitor
Samsung LCD Monitor
I have also attached a copy of all my logs as instructed in the forum rules.
I really hope someone can assist in resolving this issue.
Thank you kindly,
Cumar.
