    Hi Clive,

For any update that is failing with 0x8024200D, you need to download this from the Microsoft Download Centre (make sure you get the x64 update!) and install it manually :)

Thanks for the reply, Tom, but I cannot see anything linked/attached.

I do appreciate your time. :)

    Hi Clive,

I meant for you to search and download the updates as I don't know which ones are failing.

If you tell me which updates they are (KB******) then I'd be more than happy to find the links for you :)

Many thanks, Tom. I manually downloaded and installed them all. They all installed except the service pack which appeared to finish and then displayed this. I've since re-run the Readying tool but the problem persists.

    Hi Clive,

That's great news! Could you zip up and upload your CBS folder please:

    C:\Windows\Logs\CBS

    Hi Clive,

Thanks for the log, but can you zip up the entire folder please?

Apologies. When zipped it exceeds the size limit. I've placed it here: CBS (4).zip - Speedy Share - upload your files here

    Hi Clive,

No problem, the log and folder both sharing the same name confuses quite a lot of people.

The CheckSUR log is showing no problems, and strangely neither is the CBS log.

Do you get an error code at any point? If not, can you try installing SP1 again and attach the CBS log if it fails.

    C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CBS.log
